"Project: repair chimney Alan and Joey arrived on time and ready to work. They did a great job installing two stainless steel flue liners, one for the fireplace and one for the gas furnace, replacing the furnace pipe connection, and neatly closing up the entrance to the chimney wall. Repaired the top cap, installed top plates to lining system and installed two rain caps to prevent water, animals and debris from getting inside. On the outside of the chimney, repaired and replaced seven bricks with new mortar. Repaired crown with crown seal and attached new flashing at roof. Waterproofed chimney. Cleaned up all debris inside and out Very personable and efficient team. I am very happy with the work done on my 50 year old chimney."

"The gas company came in to replace a meter.  They found that the vinyl siding company we used in the past had cut and covered the safety valve.  The one night that it's super cold out, the gas company had to shut off our gas (heat)!! I called Richard at 9:00pm.  He got back to me first thing in the morning and had his crew take care of it by 7:30am.  They are really THE BEST!!  The gas company is here now and hopefully we'll have heat soon."

Rustic Stone & Garden Design has been producing quality stonework in the Lakes Region and White Mountains of New Hampshire since 2008. \n\nScott, owner, started doing masonry as a kid in Connecticut. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Ocean Engineering, I spent 8 years as a submarine officer. Upon leaving the service, I spent a couple years in corporate America, before realizing how much I missed creating. I have now been doing masonry full-time since 2001. \n\nI love my job and my business. I enjoy creating beautiful fireplaces, veneers, walls, outdoor spaces. If you can envision an area filled with stone, I can build it. In most instances I do all the work myself, although there are times I become overwhelmed and hire laborers.\n\nI look forward to each project and treat each and every customer with honesty and respect.

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.
