"I hired Andy and his crew to clean my windows this spring and I could not be happier. They did an outstanding job, my wife and I are extremely pleased. Great value for the service provided. I definitely be asking them to come back again when I need their services. I would highly recommend Andy and his company for their cleaning services. Very courteous and professional. "Mark did great work cleaning out the house! I'm renting a place in Campton from my extended family, and there had been a pretty bad mouse problem over the winter. They had left droppings in every corner of the house and on every piece of furniture, and I needed help to get it cleaned up. Mark worked over two days and he was very thorough, moving all the furniture and even cleaning out all the drawers, which was really more than I had expected! He communicated very well - and did all the work for a price that was less than I had been prepared to pay. I would gladly hire him again if the need arises, and I'd be happy to recommend his work to anyone who needs a cleaning service."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best time to clean the outside of your house is during your outdoor spring cleaning. Wait until late spring, after the wave of pollen is done coating your home. You can also wash your house in late fall–before the first freeze–to remove leaves and branches from the gutters.

You could void your roof warranty using a power washer if you have a newer roof. With an older roof, you could knock loose older shingles. On the other hand, some people safely use a pressure washer to remove moss from a metal roof. Although you may want to use a pressure washer, the truth is that you probably don’t need it to knock moss loose. A garden hose and brush will do the job just fine and in a safer manner than a pressure washer.

Roof raking helps clear snowfall from your roof and, in turn, you hope that this prevents ice dams. But can roof raking actually cause them? Generally, no, it cannot. But you should note that while, in some cases, you might successfully prevent ice dams from forming near the edge of your roof by keeping it cleared with a roof rake, they could still form higher up on the roof, where you are unable to reach. This may leave you wondering: Does roof raking prevent ice dams? While it is not a 100% guaranteed way to prevent them, it does help.

On average, cleaning a roof will take between two to five hours. This timeline depends on the size and slope of your roof and the severity of any stains. Cleaning roof stains can take additional time, especially if there are signs of moss or algae.

In addition, the age of your roof makes an enormous difference in the time it takes to clean it, as older roofs need more gentle care. If you have significant landscaping in your yard by your house, your professional roof cleaner will need additional time to protect it from cleaning chemicals.

Yes, algae-resistant shingles will prevent algae and moss growth, providing double protection for your roof and roof flashing. The copper-infused granules on algae-resistant shingles release copper ions that inhibit plant growth in general, so moss will have a harder time growing on your roof, too. Keep in mind that copper ions flowing off your roof during rainfall can also inhibit plant growth below, so your gardens and grass may be affected.
