Customers say: True professional

"Isaac showed up on time and took his time cleaning my windows THOROUGHLY. He cleaned every single window in my house inside and out, including the garage, attic and basement, even though I hadn't asked him to. The quality of his work is stellar, and his attitude is pleasant and professional. My windows have never looked better! I would recommend Clean View to anyone, and I've already told Isaac I would hire him next spring."

"Mark did great work cleaning out the house! I'm renting a place in Campton from my extended family, and there had been a pretty bad mouse problem over the winter. They had left droppings in every corner of the house and on every piece of furniture, and I needed help to get it cleaned up. Mark worked over two days and he was very thorough, moving all the furniture and even cleaning out all the drawers, which was really more than I had expected! He communicated very well - and did all the work for a price that was less than I had been prepared to pay. I would gladly hire him again if the need arises, and I'd be happy to recommend his work to anyone who needs a cleaning service."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, you should not pressure wash or power wash roof shingles, including asphalt shingles. The high water pressure from these machines is too strong and can damage the shingles by forcing water underneath, loosening their adhesive, and causing them to fall off. A safer and better alternative is soft washing with a pump sprayer. To ensure the job is done safely without causing damage, it is best to hire a local roof cleaner.

Clean debris, treat for moss, and schedule regular inspections to prevent water damage.

The best time to clean the outside of your house is during your outdoor spring cleaning. Wait until late spring, after the wave of pollen is done coating your home. You can also wash your house in late fall–before the first freeze–to remove leaves and branches from the gutters.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Regular cleaning, inspecting for peeling or rust, and reapplying coatings every 8-12 years helps maintain durability.
