"We had Shamrock Chimney come out to look at our 27-year-old gas fireplace. We couldn't get the pilot light to light. They sent 2 guys that didn't seem to know what they were doing. The first thing the lead guy said was that he would have to replace the whole ignition system for $1,500. He hadn't even tried to light the pilot light yet! My husband had to tell him that he had turned the gas off (the guy didn't look) and would he at least try to manually light the pilot light, which he then did, and it wouldn't stay lit. At one point, my husband asked if he wanted the owner's manual. He did. They put the glass back on the front, charged us $150 and left. We called the office to complain about the incompetence. The woman said, well they cleaned it. No they didn't! She offered to send another technician out. Nope, we're done with Shamrock!"

"I called for a free estimate, Justin came promtly and inspected the chimey. He showed me pictures of the problems and spelled out all the options. I explained to him that my cellar has floode due the problems and was anxious to get the repairs done. Justin quoted a price that was fair and much lower then any other estimates. To my surprise he said that he could do the job that day. He kept sending me pictures as the work progressed so I knew exactlywhat he was doing. He was professional and honest about what needed to be done. I was more then pleased with him and the company. I highly recommend .Chimneys are us."

"Nathan has done a super job of cleaning our chimney for many years. He checks the condition of the chimney and has made necessary repairs and improvements. He is scrupulous about leaving the chimney, stove and area as clean if not cleaner than when he arrived. Plus, he's very personable and reliable. Highly recommended!"

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

While spotting a bit of algae on your roof may not bother you at first glance, it is certainly bothering your roof shingles. The presence of algae can cause decay and shorten the lifespan of your roof’s shingles, which can lead to much bigger problems down the road. While this issue may seem cosmetic at first glance, it goes much deeper than that.

Inspect for cracks, clean debris regularly, and replace damaged tiles promptly to maintain performance.

You should not use a pressure washer on any surface that it might damage. Examples include shingled roofs, glass, electrical components, and anything with a seal that might be stripped away by the pressure. There are a variety of different uses for a pressure washer . They're ideal for driveways, patios, garage floors, vehicles, fencing, gutters, and paint stripping.

Roof cleaning is typically necessary annually, although homes in moist or heavily polluted areas may require more frequent service to prevent buildup.
