"CT Tree over delivered on the project from clear communications, scheduling, on time arrival as planned etc. Connor and his CT Tree team displayed professionalism and safety in all aspects of the job removing over 20 trees. Equipment state of the art. Most of all, property was left cleaner than when they arrived. They hit it out of the park with my project with very competitive pricing. Definitely a go to for future projects!"

"I hired. NPC 3 Services to remove three trees that were damaged during a recent storm. Lisa came out on a Wednesday and by that Friday Nick and his crew were on site. They did an outstanding job, were early, professional, know what they are doing. Very impressed with the cleanup also. Very Happy with NPC 3. Outstanding job."

"I had Travis grind stumps for me and loam and reseed the area afterward. He was very accommodating, punctual, and polite. He did wonderful work, even spreading the wood chips, creating a lovely path in the woods. I would highly recommend their services!"

Small jobs welcome

"Taylor and his crew did an outstanding job removing the 46 trees that were in danger of falling on our home. Majority of them were dead and diseased. Taylor is very knowledgeable, professional and very reasonably priced. Taylor was here on time every day that he said he would be here. He answered every question we had throughout the process and we had many since we are new home buyers. We are extremely happy that we found him on Angi and would highly recommend him to everyone we know, and hire him again if ever need additional services. Thank you very much for everything. You have put our minds at ease knowing that we are safe from trees falling on our house. Superb job gentlemen!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Bryan and his crew were recommended by my neighbor after he had several trees removed. The crew showed up with the specialized equipment needed to remove trees that caused problems every winter once loaded with snow and leaning on power lines or my garage. They did a great job as well as clean up and I would also recommend them to anyone in need of tree removal."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).

Permits are often required for large tree removals, especially in urban areas or for protected species, ensuring regulation compliance and neighbor safety.

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.
