"Hooperâ s Tree Service did an excellent job on quoting on the project, giving us a timeline on when they could fo it and executing the job at a very high level. I was not able to be here when they came to do the work and trusted they would get the job done and they exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Hooperâ s tree service! 5 Star for sure."

"Woodstreeservices were as professional as it could get. On st Patrick’s day a tree came down right next to my house after had happened I worried about another storm taking down a tree that stood over my house. I called woodstreeservices, immediately they answered the phone and were able to come and give me a free estimate and price on how much it would cost. After the estimate they sent an invoice and schedule a date to take down the branches above my house… could not be more happy."

"From management down to work crews, by far they past my expectations. I had three other company bid for a very difficult job. I have a feng shui. Garden that was around 4,000 sq ft or more of space. Grass365 was not the cheapest, Turf was great quality They had incredible reviews and lots of experience. As the old saying says, you pay for what you get and I was not taking any chances. The job came out fantastic. On the long run, the savings in landscaping/ water/ sprinkler maintenance, this job will pay it self in three years, itâ s all cruising after that! You canâ t go wrong with this outfit!"

Customers say: True professional

"Everything was great from start to finish. Very reasonably priced. The huge pine we had removed was over 100 feet tall. They had all the necessary equipment to skillfully cut down the tree. It was amazing to watch. We highly recommend Hooper's Tree Service. George E."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.

Yes, it is highly recommended to remove tree stumps. Leaving them in the ground can lead to several problems, as they are not only unsightly but can also reduce your property's value. Stumps can obstruct landscaping plans, make mowing difficult, and hinder new growth. More importantly, they are prime breeding grounds for pests like termites, ants, and mice, which can spread to your home and cause costly damage to its wood and foundation. Stumps also attract fungi and diseases that can infect other healthy trees and plants in your yard. As a stump decays, it might sprout new, unwanted shoots. While removing a stump is an investment, it prevents these potential issues and enhances the safety, health, and appearance of your landscape.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

Generally, you’ll want to avoid pruning more than 25% of the tree’s canopy at one time. While pruning your tree is important, it’s possible to do it too often or to go too far. Again, this is why hiring a tree trimming pro to do the work is wise. However, if you do decide to DIY, going slow and trimming gradually is the name of the game.
