"We purchased a new construction home in early March, which came with no chimney cap.  Our chimney has two flues, one is not in use and the other is used by the oil boiler.  The house we purchased was well built, and we wanted  to maintain that by adding only high quality fixtures that would do the job well and stand the test of time.  Therefore, we contacted Absolute to provide a quote on a custom stainless chimney cap.  
The experience was fabulous from beginning to end.  First, they came out and provided the estimate very quickly (we also have a very steep angled roof, but that didn't impede them in the slightest).  They asked for 1/2 up front and 1/2 after install.  Since they had good reviews, an established record, and I was in a hurry to get it done with as little fuss as possible, I paid the whole amount upfront and told them to go ahead and install it as soon as possible once it was ready.  
Fast forward a few days later (too soon for me to expect that it would have been ready), I was coming home from an errand and caught sight of my chimney - wearing my beautiful new chimney cap!  Didn't even notice that they had come and gone.  It is absolutely gorgeous and functions beautifully.

"These folks are easy to work with from start to finish. Bill McCarthy first came out to our home and reviewed the specs for the stove to be installed and existing condition of our chimney. He noticed immediately that the stove we had on order may not be the best choice and was kind enough to get on the line with the local stove shop and talk through our options and ultimately help recommend a more appropriate venting type for the same model of stove. With his help we were able to re-order the more appropriate solution early in the process. Just a great eye for detail. Could have been a more problematic install otherwise. He followed up promptly with an estimate.When the stove arrived a few weeks later we scheduled Bill and his colleagues to come out and execute their work. And the work was excellent. The masons did a fantastic job creating a backdrop for our stove. The brick backdrop was definitely more expensive than other solutions considered (durock backdrop) but absolutely worth it in terms of looks. Lining and capping the chimney went without a hitch as did connecting the liner to the new stove. All in all a great experience from start to finish. The crew showed up when scheduled, worked well and efficiently, were very friendly and cleaned up the work area when finished.Our new stove install was completed as the cold weather started easing. We can't wait to really enjoy our new stove this upcoming winter.

"Personable and professional throughout the job until the end with the installation of the chimney cap. We had to call 3 times over 6 weeks to get a return phone call regarding the installation of the prepaid cap. A promised referral gift card also went undelivered after 3 calls. The lack of follow-up and the disinterested response from our sales representative left us disappointed after such a great job. The lack of the timely installation of the chimney cap in the recent torrential rains left us with ongoing messy clean ups inside. It's too bad to do a really good job up front and drop the ball in the end."

Of all the other roofers only one other even called us back. The rest never called. We were very disappointed with that. Robert Millard stayed in contact with us from the first call and was easy to contact throughout the whole project. Robert and his crew were all very. experienced, knowledgeable and easy to talk to and ask questions. Overall they did a great job. The only negative issue was with a chimney cap that we are trying to resolve. I would definitely use them again.
