"Tim and his crew are amazing. They built me an awesome deck!! From the beginning of the project to end I was thoroughly impressed. His quote was timely and fair. I’ve heard of so many horror stories about contractors so i was so pleasantly surprised at how great this experience was. The work began quickly and the workmanship is incredible. These guys know what they’re doing. Tim is so professional. He is prompt, he communicates everything in detail and really pays attention to detail in the work. He’s also a really nice guy. His crew is polite and work so hard. They’d get here and never stop working. Maybe 5 minutes to eat a sandwich. I plan to hire Tim for future projects. No question about it! Highly recommend."

"Jeff was awesome to work with. He helped us with an outdoor project concerning our chimney and a window. He was extremely knowledgeable and very dependable. He kept us informed every step of the way during the entire project. We would most definitely recommend him to our family and friends for any project they may have."

"After searching for someone who does ceramic tile on Home Advisor, Brandon from Silver Snake Properties contacted me. He gave my wife and me a reasonable quote and was able to begin work in less than 2 weeks (due to rain and this being an inside job). He is a very experienced man, and we discovered, very knowledgeable in many areas, not just ceramic tile. He always showed on time; has a very calm, professional demeanor; and excellent work ethics. While demolishing our bathrooms, for Brandon to do the tile, due to old pipes, we sprung 2 leaks. Brandon went above and beyond to help me get the situations resolved quickly. While he was here, my wife picked his brain about a ceramic tile backsplash in our kitchen, venting our dryer outside, replacing a couple windows, and helping us complete our stairs after laying vinyl wood flooring. Yes, we will definitely hire Beandon again!"

"We had rough weather through out the project, but Jake & John got it done. Our project was , a 56" x 24 " addition. Architectural plans where mest up because of a last minute set back on our septic Tank, had to reduce plan by 4 feet, they handle the changes well, without me having to get another plan drawn up. If your plans are solid... These guys are great..."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Traditionally, bungalows are single-story homes, although having a half or partial story on top of the first floor is common. While adding a second story to a bungalow is certainly possible, the home would no longer be considered a bungalow by the strictest definition.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

An A-frame home can be cheaper to build than a traditional house, but that is not always a given. Prices can be fairly similar in some cases, depending on the location, design, and necessary site preparation. Costs for an A-frame typically run between $100 to $200 per square foot, which is comparable to the cost of a traditional home. The cost of an A-frame can come in under those numbers if you opt for a prefabricated kit.

Yes, you will need a jack for a rim joist replacement. To prevent sagging and facilitate the removal of load-bearing wood, you’ll need to relieve the pressure from this joint before beginning work.

Due to hydraulics and other specialized equipment, a sill plate and rim joist replacement are not typically a DIY project. Hiring a professional structural engineer and experienced contractors is the best approach to replacing rotted sill plates and rim joists.

The cost to frame a 2,000-square-foot house can fall anywhere between $14,000 and $32,000. This price can increase or decrease depending on what type of framing you choose, the quality of the materials, the project's complexity, and whether you decide to hire a professional to do the job.
