Emergency services offered

"We had several large trees in our backyard that needed to be removed. Dylan’s price to do the work was on the low end of 4 bids, so we decided to take a chance though we knew nothing about them. No regrets whatsoever now that the job is done. Dylan & crew arrived per plan, stayed with it until done and cleaned up when finished, even some of the debris that was there before. This is dangerous work and a lot could go wrong. Nothing did - these guys know what they are doing. I would not hesitate to hire them again."

"Ryan Sharp did an awesome job taking down some huge trees on my property. His pricing was competitive. He worked quickly and safely and was able to get the job done the right way. You can feel confident having him and his team knock down any trees that you need gone. Hire this guy."

"Tree Fellas are an excellent group of dedicated spirited workers. They work diligently and go above and beyond. They fully respect the property they work on. We had 18 trees taken down this time around and we will have them back next year without a doubt. The guys are friendly and extremely hard working. The clean up after the trees are taken down is something I've never imagined. They left our property the way it was prior to conducting the job. They've exceeded all our expectations. Thank you Tree Fellas for a job well done."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Since each tree is different, it’s impossible to say how long a dead tree can remain on your property. While it could be days, months, or even years, it’s highly likely that, at some point, the tree will fall. In the meantime, dying or dead trees can become a haven for pests, so it’s best to have them removed sooner rather than later.

We don’t recommend DIY tree trimming for a few different reasons. First, the tools required to trim a tree can be costly, up to $1,100 or more, for the ladders and specialized saws needed.

Safety is another concern, especially when working with more mature trees. As a guideline, you should only DIY tree trimming when branches are less than two inches in diameter. Any more, and the safety risk becomes too high, which could lead to catastrophe. For this job, it’s safest to let a tree-trimming professional assess the work needed.

DIY pruning is possible for small trees and shrubs with basic tools. However, for larger trees, more hazardous removals, or to ensure proper pruning techniques are used, it is recommended to hire a professional for safety.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Steer clear of the area and contact your utility company immediately. It will have a website portal and/or a phone number to report downed trees and electrical issues. If the tree appears to be on public land, you may want to call your local government and report the issue there, too.
