"The end results are amazing. The patio looks better than it did when it was built new 10 years ago! The crew was amazing and Alan and Liz (owners) were a total pleasure to work with. We would recommend Limitless Landscapes for any landscaping job, especially if there is a lot of hardscaping involved. They are wonderful to work with and we couldn't be happier with the results."

"We couldn't be happier with our work. It was a very fair price and the work was amazing. Our old retaining wall was rotting and now we have a beautiful stone retaining wall. We will definitely be using them again in the future for any projects."

"We got an immediate response when we reached out to them. They came out and gave us a rough estimate on the job and a timetable when they were available. Their communication was excellent throughout, and they were very transparent with when they would start and how long the job would take. When they came out to build the retaining wall, they were very respectful of our property and our neighbors. They warned us that their equipment might tear up the yard, but in the end I didn’t see any damage at all. They kept us updated on how the job was going through the process and where plans needed to be adjusted so we could decide what we wanted and how we would like to proceed. The quality of the retaining wall they built for us is amazing. I am so pleased with the result, it looks fantastic and has stood up to several hard storms so far without any soil loss. Overall they were courteous, communicative, and kind throughout, and I couldn’t be happier with the retaining wall they built for us. It was an area of my yard I had been stressed about for a couple of years, and it’s a load off my mind knowing that it is now taken care of. I look forward to being able to hire them again."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

A scattering of leaves won’t pose a problem through the winter, but a thicker layer of leaves may not decompose before the first frost and can instead weigh down your grass and harbor mold or fungi. A thick layer of leaves also cuts off light and air that grass needs to grow. That’s why we suggest removing thick leaf layers within several days if possible. If your lawn goes dormant over the winter and snow has already caught up with you, then remove the leaves in early spring before your grass-growing season starts so your lawn can thrive.

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.

Hedge plants are available in almost every size, from seedlings to fully mature, six-foot-tall shrubs. Planting smaller plants is much easier and more cost-effective. However, it can take years for the plants to reach maturity and create a full hedge. Garden centers and specialty retailers sometimes offer three to four-foot wide plants that you can simply plant next to each other for an instant full hedge.

You should exercise care when deciding how to landscape over a leach field for your septic system. You typically want lightweight materials that won’t damage the drain field’s perforated pipes. When adding plants to the area, select plants with shallow roots, such as grass or flower gardens. Trees with deep roots could damage the pipes in the field.

The cost to plant a small tree or sapling is between $100 and $300 on average, if you hire a professional. Big trees will cost more and usually require the work of a specialist, so expect to pay over $1,000 for those.
