"Alan and his crew did a fabulous job - they showed up on time and got right to work. They installed a high-quality sod in my backyard and mulched all the beds - I was preparing to sell my home and they made it a lot easier by taking care of the exterior projects. The new lawn looks beautiful!"

"Responded promptly when contacted. Received quote in a very quick manner. Very good value for work done. They are very professional & conscientious about work & do a very good job. Hired for complete summer. Would definitely hire for any future lawn service. Only concern is a few of projects haven't started yet, however I must admit that company is doing a lot of yard services."

"ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. We got a fire place / patio put in. We absolutely love it. I really had no idea what I wanted, except for the fact I wanted a fire pit in the backyard. I told them the very basic vision of what I wanted and they made it come to life. Not only could I not recommend them enough, all the neighbors complemented them on professionalism. They took care of our lawn while working in the backyard, were personable, and just overall great people. 10/10 Work.. 10/10 People"

Lawn Care FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, especially for properties focusing on curb appeal. A well-maintained landscape supports visual and environmental attractiveness, potentially increasing desirability.

Carpetgrass is distinguishable by its pale green to yellowish color and coarse appearance that grows well under shady conditions in poor and compact soils. If it grows uncontrolled, it tends to develop a hairy seedhead, giving patches of grass a messy appearance. If carpetgrass is regularly cut, it looks very similar to centipedegrass and St. Augustine grass, and people may confuse them. Carpetgrass blades are flat and rounded at the tip. Note that the grass only typically grows as a weed in Southern states.

Overwatering won’t just hurt your wallet with the water bill; it’ll impact the longevity of your lawn.

Too much water on your grass will deprive the root system of oxygen, stunting its growth and even killing it. Stunted root growth means a weak and disconnected root system. That means the lawn is weaker, making it more vulnerable to diseases and drought.

A standard home lawn mower with sharp blades can handle a thin layer of leaves without issue. You may need to make a couple of passes within several days to mulch leaves down, but your mower shouldn’t struggle. If your mower comes with a mulching kit, like an attachment to blow leaves out the side, that’s a good sign it’s ready for fall leaves. Set your mower to the highest or near-highest height for this project so it focuses on the leaves rather than the grass below.

You can thicken new grass by using fertilizer, watering it 1 to 1½ inches per week, mowing when it is at an optimal height, and preventing weeds. You should fertilize your grass while you plant the grass seed, or soon afterward. Use an herbicide to prevent weeds or spot spray with herbicide to kill existing weeds.
