First, the team showed up 2 weeks after the initial visit. Worse than the delay was the complete lack of communication throughout the process ? getting updates or even basic responses was frustratingly difficult. The biggest issue, however, was the quality of the work. Their installation was poorly executed, and we ended up having to hire another company to fix their mistake ? costing us even more money on top of what we already paid Groundworks. We trusted them with an important job in our home and feel completely let down. I would not recommend Groundworks to anyone looking for reliable, professional service."

Factors like the time of day you choose to seal the concrete, temperature, humidity, and airflow will impact drying time. To shorten the drying time, seal concrete in the late afternoon on a day with a temperature between 45 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dry pour concrete cures in the same amount of time as wet pour concrete, so you’re looking at four to six hours for it to harden, 24 to 48 hours before you can remove forms and expose the slab to foot traffic, a week before it can stand up to vehicle traffic, and about a month for it to be fully cured.

If you're repairing a sagging or falling fence, a concrete base can strengthen the fence against burrowing animals, erosion, high winds, and more. Having a concrete reinforcement slab installed with a chain link fence can cost $4 to $10 per square foot.

If you're planning to lay new concrete over an old demolition site, reinforcements may be a good idea for larger builds, such as patios, decks, and concrete slabs. Concrete that exceeds 6 inches of thickness is often reinforced. It will cost more to lay but will give your new structure a solid foundation.

As a general rule of thumb, allow 24 hours for penetrating sealers to cure and at least 48 hours of drying time for most topical sealers. Always check the instructions for the sealing product you’re using to determine the drying time.
