"They did a good job. She had to submit like a photo but my daughter had them work on the central are of the loft. The deal was for one room. She got a lot of good ideal from her and it was worth it for her. They were professional and I did not hear anything negative."

A peeling bathtub is not a good thing. Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options. 

Of the two most common and affordable bathtub materials, acrylic is notably better. Though fiberglass is cheaper, it is also more prone to scratching, chipping, fading, and cracking. Acrylic holds up better to wear and tear, cleaning, and sun exposure; the slight cost increase is usually worth the increased longevity.

If your bathtub is in overall good shape with minor scratches, discoloration, or just general wear and tear, it's best (and less expensive) to refinish it. 

If your tub has large cracks, is leaking, or is otherwise severely damaged, we recommend replacing it with a new bathtub. Refinishing a bathtub can only fix superficial problems, so these issues will still be present or reappear after a refinishing.

Resurfacing a bathtub is less expensive than replacing one. Resurfacing a tub costs about $330 to $630, depending on the material, while replacing a tub costs an average of $4,150. But remember that resurfacing is a temporary solution for a worn-out tub, and you may need to refinish a tub every few years to keep it looking new.
