"Rebecca Harrison has done a miraculous job of creating not just an incredible work of art for my formally stark dining room, but managed to incorporate a representation of many of my favorite memories. I asked for a murella that would remind us of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park where my family has spent so much time. I enjoy getting lost in the feeling of flying over these special places, and recalling specific memories of my sons catching their first fish, sledding, skating on the ice covered ponds, and camping near the herds of elk in the fall. I remember anniversaries, birthdays, crafts, family reunions. My experience with Rebecca was amazing! She collaborated with me on what I wanted on my mural, what I wanted it to represent, and what colors she thought would look good in my space. Painting over wallpaper is an efficient way to cover it if it’s in decent shape. Before painting over wallpaper, make sure the surface is clean and smooth. You may have to remove minor problem areas, such as lifted seams or small peels, with a sheetrock knife or putty knife. Add a latex- or oil-based primer to keep moisture at bay before painting.
