"I worked with Chris initially to recieve an estimate for repairs. He was really nice, communicated well and even contacted me for an earlier available time than scheduled due to an opening in his schedule. He arrived on time and was thorough with his estimate, even giving me additional information on some things I hadn't noticed or realized would become a problem in the future. He provided repair options for those items as well. He was able to get the final project scheduled reasonably quickly, and they had pretty manageable financing options that fit my budget also. Ivan and Issac were assigned to the actual repairs. There were no deviations from what their work plan was and what I had requested. They worked quickly and finished in about two hours, completing repairs to a small section of sidewalk in front of the house and to the concrete patio at the back of the house. Overall very painless process with very professional individuals. 10/10 would recommend at this point."

"Big shout out to Dil and Cruise for doing a splendid job . They were very courteous, patient enough to listen to my concerns and very friendly. The Job was to lift the concrete and seal the joint and cracks . Time will tell how well the seal will hold especially with colorodo weather but so far happy the result. Thank you Trasher."

"Our sump pump broke and the line froze, so they replaced it with a triple pump system with freeze guards that keep the water from freezing outside and blocking the line.  The new sump pump system is so much nicer, bigger, and SO quiet.  The electrician, Greg, went out of his way to find a circuit with one item on it and tied into that so we did not need any drywall ripped up...very nice.
We have also been battling a basement leak for almost ten years.  Jason came and identified the problem and the required fix, then went above and beyond to make sure that all the prep work was done properly and that we were satisfied with what was about to happen, he even came and helped the guys for a while!
Mel and his team came, dug up the concrete, and laid a drainage system across one wall of the basement, and took it into the sump pump.  At first, I was scared to death listening to all the jackhammering, but from the minute they walked in, the guys were so conscientious about doing everything right and without major upset to our house, it put me right at ease.  They were very fast, and the finished product looks amazing, so professional and clean.
The entire experience was unbelievable, they all were so helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, professional.  I would recommend Thrasher, hands down, to anyone with any type of basement issue!

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.
