"We had a tree problem. I left messages with 5 services and Alex connected me within minutes and came the same day to look. He said he would come tomorrow (October 26, 2023) to take care of it. We are in the midst of a winter storm warning so I thought I wouldnâ t see him until spring if lucky. Well he sure did show up during the storm and tackled that tree! He said we could watch him work if we wanted to ensure he did a professional job. We didnà ¢à  à  t because we were confident in his abilities, but I did look out now and then because I was concerned for him! He was very methodic on how he approached the tree to avoid disturbing the neighbors yard or damaging ours. He was very reasonably priced and did an exceptional job with clean up especially fighting the snow! And none of the other services have contacted us yet! We highly highly highly recommend Alex. 10 stars out 5!"

It's easy to misidentify trees that appear to be maple trees due to similarities in leaf shapes. Sweetgum, sycamore, and yellow poplar all have leaf shapes and appearances similar to maples. Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit. 

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions.
