We specialize in building Pergolas, Pavilions, and Gazebos in the Tampa area. The Amish, Mennonite, and Plain communities of Lancaster County have been around for hundreds of years. Generation after generation, these craftsmen have passed down their community’s hard work ethic and focus on building premium quality outdoor products at an affordable price. At Fisher’s Backyard Structures, we provide Amish-built products to the Southeastern United States. Our team of experienced installers will deliver your outdoor structure to your home and install it on-site.

"It went very well. They were on time and got the job done."

Anything from painting to roofing to complete remodels to building additions or anything

"Jeff Mclawhorn did construction to my business without getting the correct permits. Luckily, it ended up working out in my favor. When I had him do lighting work for me, he took the money and never completed the work. He disappeared for months, swore to send me a check for reimbursement for the work that was paid for and then disappeared. He never provided written quotes or receipts for work, and requested payment be made in cash. Avoid at all costs."

Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

Yes, you need a hood for an outdoor kitchen. A ventilation hood is required over each cooking appliance, including grills, griddles, and woks. If these cooking surfaces are all in the same area, you can consolidate the hood to one single ventilation unit above the grouping of cooking appliances. A single ventilation hood may require custom fabrication, which may increase the cost compared to mass-produced options.

No, even if you have a vague idea of what you want, it’s a good idea to reach out to a contractor that specializes in outdoor kitchens for assistance. Professionals who have constructed kitchens for other homeowners can not only help you think about the functionality and convenience of your outdoor space—which many homeowners neglect—but they can also help you choose high-quality, durable materials that meet your budget and match the rest of your outdoor space. In fact, it’s often better to contact a contractor and get the ball rolling before you have a solidified plan for your outdoor kitchen.

Weatherproofing and winterizing your outdoor kitchen is extremely important, especially if you experience intense weather events. Make sure to choose weather-resistant furniture and waterproof containers to store ingredients. Also, go with a high-quality grill that’s built to last and protect your cabinets with sealant or varnish. Finally, invest in a covering of some kind for when it rains or snows.

DIY is possible for small setups, but professional services ensure proper gas, plumbing, and electrical work.

Cover appliances, clean surfaces regularly, and winterize plumbing before freezing temperatures.
