"The owner and his crew were way more than I expected. I have used different tree services over the last 35 years and they were head and shoulders over the rest of them. He came out that evening at exactly the time he said to give me the estimate. His price was below all others. He followed all my instructions of what I wanted done to a T. I never had to remind him of anything and I had lots of instructions. He's very respectful and takes great pride in his work, Cleaning up all and I mean all the debris was way over the top. As you notice I gave them a 5 star rating and if I could rate him higher than 5 stars.......I would!! This day and time how many businesses really provide you with all these results? Very few."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

It’s unnecessary to tip holiday decorators, and most professionals won’t expect it, but it’s a nice gesture to show your appreciation for their work. If the expert goes above and beyond to keep your delicate decorations safe, or they’re hanging your exterior lights and putting out lawn decorations in freezing temperatures or inclement weather, a tip between 10% and 20% of your total will be appreciated. Large jobs that include interior and exterior work are also good opportunities to tip, especially if your expert is performing a rush job close to the holidays.

Repairing a strand of Christmas lights will save you a few dollars and the hassle of going to the store to purchase new ones. That may or may not be enough to make fixing them worth it to you. However, if the lights are already hanging or around the tree, removing and replacing them is far more time-consuming than performing a quick repair job.

Yes, many services include removal as part of the package. Confirm with your provider.

Christmas light cords are long, thin, and flexible—which makes them exceptionally prone to tangling. As you try to untangle the very merry mess, the light bulbs and sockets may catch on the cords, making it even harder to pull cords through the knots.

No, you should not leave LED Christmas lights up all year. While the LED lights themselves are very durable, their wiring and casings can be as vulnerable as any Christmas lights. They’re subject to drying out, experiencing cold or sun damage that causes them to crack, and even damage caused by gnawing pests. (The same is true of incandescents.) If you want your lights to last the years that they’re rated for, bring them inside after Christmas is over.
