"Ryan and team did an outstanding job on my house as they had to replace all of the decaying MDF surrounding my windows along with rebuilding my double decker front porch (original builder did not construct the porch correctly which resulted in structural issues). Quality and craftsmanship has been top notch and no complaints."

"I needed new floors put down in my kitchen and Jake battled the bad weather and got the job done and done very well I might add, he even found an electrical issue with my dishwasher when he pulled it out and fixed it at no extra charge. Excellent workmanship and professionalism. I will definitely be using him again for future projects. Highly recommend!"

"Paul and his team did an absolutely incredible job remodeling our master bath. It’s all done in floor to ceiling Italian marble. He did custom patterns on our floor to look like area rugs. The work is beautiful. Additionally other work completed in our home… replaced all of our hardwood floors with beautiful 5” Brazilian cherry floors. They are stunning! He built custom shelving unit in our basement for storage with a workshop also in our garage. We were so happy with all the work performed we hired them to custom build our commercial building in Haymarket VA. One of the best building experiences we have ever had. You can’t go wrong. Honest, dependable and great quality!"

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Your chicken coop needs to be off the ground to protect your chickens and avoid problems brought on by flooding, mud, and moisture. If you can't locate a high area to build the coop, you should build an elevated coop to ensure it stays dry.

It depends on your budget and what you’re trying to achieve. If you’re looking for a fast and easy solution, buying a cooler or prefabricated root cellar is a good choice.

But, if you want ample storage space to house your many fruits, vegetables, and root crops, you should build a root cellar for the long term.

The average cost of a tornado shelter is $7,520, but there is considerable variation based on the shelter's size, complexity, and type. A shelter big enough to fit 15 people may cost as much as $30,000, for example.

An underground shelter may cost more than an aboveground shelter, particularly if you need to excavate before installing it. If you already have space in a basement for an underground shelter, you'll still need to pay for waterproofing and concrete to construct it.

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

Depending on your structure, you may not need planning permission. Major excavation, anything that changes the external appearance of your home, or any construction that will affect your neighbors will need planning permission. However, no planning permission is required if you’re just converting an existing space into a root cellar.
