"I want to recognize three young men who recently completed our basement work through Groundworks: Matt, Taylore, & Gavin. The work was thorough, clearly explained, & the finished product looks excellent. But the biggest positive was the crew. They worked incredibly hard every day on a physically demanding, messy job, yet remained professional, disciplined, & respectful. They took great care of our home, kept debris contained, & cleaned up afterward. Matt took time to explain the full system to us & went above & beyond to help replace insulation that had fallen, even though it wasn't part of the job. Taylore & Gavin were equally helpful, helping us salvage & store shelving materials and remove a few stubborn pieces we couldn't manage ourselves. I'm genuinely impressed by their work ethic, attitude, & pride in doing the job right. I would absolutely recommend Groundworks, but especially these three young men. They represented the company exceptionally well!"

Mold and other fungi love moisture, so the best way to prevent mold growth after water damage is to remove as much moisture as possible. Underfloor insulation alone will not cause moisture and mold, but improper installation can. Although the purpose is to seal any drafts, your subfloor still needs ventilation. For example, it is much better to have a vented space when it’s very hot outside and your AC bills are sky-high. Conversely, when the temperature drops and humidity rises, it is almost always better to have your vents shut and covered if possible.
