"My husband and I came home from visiting family over the holidays to a busted pipe in our basement. It was the main water line coming into the house. There was a river coming out of our garage and 3 inches of water in our basement. Not exactly what you want to come home to from being on the road for 10 days. Next day I called Pro-Worker and someone was sent right away to assess the damage. Steve was great and within 20 minutes I had a reasonable quote. Next day Steve came back with an excavator to dig up and fix the pipe. Leading up to Steve's arrival, I was kept in the loop of the estimated time of arrival. We had called other commercial names in town. One gave us a quote 4 times greater. Told us it would take half a day and a crew of men to complete. A couple of others told us they couldn't get to us until the end of the week, even though we told them we had absolutely no running water. Pro Worker/Steve came with one other guy and was done in just a couple of hours. As you can tell by the length of this post, I can't say enough great things about Pro Worker. We would definitely use them again and suggest them to anyone!"

The timeline to install countertops largely depends on the materials and the job size. Installing granite countertops takes anywhere from two to seven hours, though complex designs can pass the eight hour mark. Average-sized quartz countertops take two to five hours to install, though most pros will recommend a 24-hour settling period. Marble, on the other hand, is finicky and can take up to two whole days to install. No matter how you slice it, however, a professional is going to complete the job much quicker than an amateur.

The resin should be periodically sealed to help prevent it from wearing down or becoming porous. Very sharp or very hot objects can damage the resin surface, and there’s no way to fully repair it if that happens, so we recommend treating the counters well.
The angle at which you cut countertops depends on the material, your intended outcome, and the location of the cut. For example, rather than cutting a straight 90-degree angle for internal corners, cut edges at a 45-degree angle to give a clean, professional look. For outside edges, most homeowners want squared-off sides, so 90-degree angles can make the most sense there. Because you want to get angles exactly right to minimize seams and eliminate the need for patching, be sure to measure several times before cutting and use the right equipment to get sharp, accurate angles.
Most recycled glass countertops are nonporous, so they don’t require sealant. There is, however, one major exception. If your recycled glass countertop contains a cement binder, it’ll require an additional layer of protection. Seal these countertops once or twice a year. Use a concrete sealant and finish it with a food-safe wax for a gorgeous and shiny finish. Otherwise, just clean the countertop regularly and always use a cutting board.
