"I had 5 tree companies give me estimates for removing a huge white pine and raising canopy of nearby pin oak. Craig was courteous, knowledgeable and on time. I went with a more local company, only because they would haul off the pine wood instead of chipping and leaving. C&C was my other choice for the project."

"Trimmed or cut down several trees in my backyard. He did everything I asked for plus a little more, and cleaned up everything perfectly, including cutting out some kudzu that was climbing a pine tree, and I hadnâ t even asked him to do it. Nice guy who has lots of experience."

"Rick was great working with me to build my dream backyard putting green. I also had him build two chipping areas that are great. After everything was installed there was a huge rain storm that washed away some of the base. I reported it to Rick and they fixed it within a week (at no charge) and made it stronger so it wouldn't happen again. I could not recommend them more!"

"Needed fencing installed to keep groundhogs from taking up residence under our deck. Brady came up with a creative and complete solution that made sure the varmints were out and would not return. Would use again."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
