"Kyle H. and Alex M. were prompt, courteous, and professional. Our shower is gorgeous! Such quality work! I highly recommend for them to provide the same service to anyone out there looking for a tub to shower conversion."
"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."
"Incredibly fast response with expert analysis. Immediately understood the situation and was able to evaluate solutions that could effectively fix the situation I found myself in. Provided pertinent details throughout allowing me to make informed decisions. Will certainly work with Blanton's again."
"Derrick was on time and very easy to work with. Modeste pricing and kept me informed every step of the way. Most of all he worked with in my budget. He mine and my family's go to guy for all future work around the house"

"Had both bathrooms remodeled by taking one piece shower and tub out and replacing with tile showers with glass doors. In one of the bathrooms, I also had the vanity and linoleum floor replaced with a new vanity with marble top, and laminate vinyl flooring. Billy did an excellent job on all of it and what I really like is that he only works on your project at one time so he doesn't leave you hanging two or three days while he goes off to work on someone else's job. I would hire him again."
"He was very nice, got done what he needed to and seriously helped out in more ways than he realizes! I have a 3 year old daughter with autism who will sit in her sensory swing all day long and spin and swing. Her sensory swing was attached to a small swing frame and it kept on almost tipping over so it was time to attach to the ceiling. I asked for a price and he said 50 is fine as he was just wanted to help out. After he finished he refused the money and said it was no big deal and that it was easy enough. I couldn’t ever thank him enough! I would recommend to anyone! He was well mannered and respectful."
"Simply outstanding. The office turned around the request in minutes, literally had the handyman available immediately. I couldn’t do it at that time but we scheduled fit the next morning. Kurt arrived promptly at 10a and after a quick discussion got right to work. We made some changes along the way as far as positioning of the tvs. Kurt redid as requested and was ready to get everything done absolutely correct. He was polite and casual, professional and personal. I have found a handyman service for life. K-Plus is the absolute best in the Sandhills."
"Highly recommend Fayetteville Flooring. From start to finish, they were professional and easy to work with. Sherry was excellent setting everything up. Mr. Ellis and son did the install and we are more than pleased with the results. They'll be my first call with any future flooring needs."
"Came when they said they would. Did a great job in under the time estimated. Work site was left clean and tidy at the end of every day. These will be my go to guys for future remodeling work."
Tub Shower Conversion questions, answered by experts
Shower arms come in a standard size with ½-inch NPT, but designs vary. The height of the water supply pipe and the showerhead height you want affect the type of shower arm you should choose. For example, a water outlet that’s located close to the ceiling would be suitable for a standard shower arm (small extension with a slight downward angle) or a straight arm model. Outlets situated lower in the shower allow for gooseneck shower arms, which can raise the showerhead's height.
Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.
How much room you need for a roll-in shower depends on your goals and the specifications of your shower. Most roll-in showers require at least 60-by-30 inches of space, and at least 60-by-60 inches is best for comfort and maneuverability. When planning the size of your roll-in shower, consider your needs for comfort and additional installations, such as benches and grab bars, that can make the space tighter.
There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.
