"Phillip did an awesome job.  He worked quickly and did a good job.  I was impressed with the work so I asked him to come back to fix the walls in the kitchen where I messed up by using tape and pealing paint off the wall.  I explained that I wouldn't be able to take off another day of work so he said that he'd be able to come on a Sunday.  I was really impressed with the fixes especially since they weren't easy fixes and he explained exactly what he needed to do in order to fix all the spots.  Phillip is a very nice Southern gentlemen that I left at my house twice by himself and didn't feel worried at all.  Overall, I was impressed and I will definitely use him again.  His prices don't break the bank and his work looks great.

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

A natural paint remover for metal is a solution of 16 parts water and one part baking soda or vinegar. When heated on your stovetop, these non-toxic household items combine into a highly effective solution that can be used to remove paint from small metal objects with tricky nooks and crannies.

First off, take a breath. The good news is that interior paint, especially when used outside, won’t harm your health. The bad news is that you’re going to have to reapply the proper exterior paint at some point in the not-so-distant future. Otherwise the current coat will chip, crack, and fade, or worse, develop mold or an insect infestation without remediation.

Yes, many professionals use non-toxic removers and dust-free sanding techniques.

Sometimes you can get away with simply sanding and painting over small areas of peeling paint. However, the problem will likely return quickly, and the ridge between old and new paint will be visible. If you just need a quick fix and won't worry about appearance, chip away the peeling paint as much as possible, prime and paint the area, and skip the spackle step.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.
