"These folks did an excellent job and a good price.  They also were extremely responsive vs all of the other contractors I asked for quotes on the job.
I had about 3 sections of concrete in my driveway that had been damaged by tree roots.  Mr. Williams and his team removed by hand the old concrete as well as the roots that were causing the damage.  They did all of this work and poured the concrete the same day. In addition, we had them pour a small concrete pad next to our sea wall, which also looks good.
I would recommend them to anyone needing concrete repair or work.

"Quick to respond and get to my yard! I was very pleased with the work done by Davis’s Landscaping. Yard and bushes looked better than they ever have and he even fixed a large crack in my driveway for me. He helped me turn an area that my dog turned into a mud pit into something that drained better and was better to look at. Plan on getting on a regular schedule with him and would recommend him to anyone!"

"I'm very thankful to have found this organization on Angie's List. Robert, the owner, could not have been better to work with on my project. We scheduled an appointment and Robert showed up as scheduled. My job wasn't a big job, but Robert projected both appreciation and enthusiasm that he could deliver the results that I was looking to achieve. He showed pictures of another project where he replaced fescue with Zoysia....he assured me that I would be satisfied with this plan. On the morning of the job, the weather could have been better. We were 24 hours into a steady rain but the sod had been cut, and waiting wasn't an option. There were two things that really stood out to me. 1) Robert's crew showed up and was as appreciative and enthusiastic to work as Robert was in scoping out and bidding on the project. These 7 guys worked in a steady and sometimes pouring rain and not one of them acted the least put out. 2) you hope the guy that lays the sod is meticulous, and this guy was craftsman. What I didn't expect, was from the guys hauling the sod, to those cleaning out the natural areas, to the pine straw and mulch spreaders, they all were meticulous. Even the way they cleaned up in the end was impressive. The entire crew worked as though they cared about what they did. In about 6 hours my yard went from being a mess, to something to be proud of....I can't believe it. Overall, this company blew away any expectations that I might have had for a good effort. Check out their website, they do lots of cool things to enhance your yard. I'll looking forward to working with Robert in the near future.

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

You should not do your own welding unless you have the proper training and experience. Most home electrical systems can only handle MIG welding, which creates weaker bonds than TIG welding and won’t work on certain metals or metal thicknesses. Both welding forms usually require the use of shielding gas, which can be dangerous to store at home. Additionally, welding machines create temperatures of over 3,000 degrees, and the sparks can blind you if you don’t have the proper equipment. As such, it’s usually better to hire a professional welder for your welding projects.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

While a high-speed circular saw will cut through metal, and even cut through multiple sheets at once, the fast-spinning saw blades create a lot of heat. This heat can damage paint and other protective coatings, leading to serious problems like rust over time. The cost to paint a metal roof again to avoid this damage is typically an additional $0.50 to $1 per square foot.

The cost to weld aluminum averages about $14 to $22 per pound. The type of metal factors into the overall cost of any welding project due to the cost of the materials and the expertise required to work with it. Some of the most common metals used by welders include:

  • Magnesium alloy: $7–$16 per pound

  • Low-carbon steel: $11–$12 per pound

  • Stainless steel: $13–$15 per pound

  • Copper/brass: $24–$29 per pound

  • Cast iron: $38–$79 per pound

  • Titanium: $60–$85 per pound
