"We love how our deck now looks. We have a 33 year old wood deck which we wanted to keep. They replaced rotted boards & brought the steps to todays standards. We did two tone stain with the rail & floor natural & the rails, steps & lattice a darker sable stain. It takes time but weâ ll worth having patience. Very reasonable pricing. Thank you Greg for making our deck the best in the neighborhood!"
"Needed fencing installed to keep groundhogs from taking up residence under our deck. Brady came up with a creative and complete solution that made sure the varmints were out and would not return. Would use again."

"I would highly recommend this business. We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house. They scheduled the work right away. After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit. Mike offered to repaint those for free. During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood. They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free. Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done. Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with. I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future. "
"Mr. Wiggins did a really nice job trimming our hedges and pressure our brick exterior. Very reasonably priced, efficient service. Highly recommend his company!"
"We hired Signature Decks and Patios to design us a new Patio. They came up with a great design and a affordable price that meet our budget. We did shop around but the design was what sold us. They were able to start before the starting date which was great for us. The job took 4 days with a crew of 5 men. The patio was approximately 650 sq.ft. There was a bench around the fire pit and a Arbor over the sitting area. Were so happy with our new patio. The construction crew and the team leader was a treat to work with. Everything was done before the completion date which was good for us because we had company over the holidays. A enjoyable experience. Will use again to landscape around it in the spring. "
"Mr. Hargrove was very responsive and professional. We contacted 2 other companies and never really got any response from either of them. Mr. Hargrove was on time for every meeting or contact, and never failed to return calls promptly. We agreed to pay half up front, and when we accidentally mis-dated the check, he drove about 45 minutes to meet us halfway to get him a new one, which he then used to buy the materials. During the second day of work on the roof, rain interrupted progress, and they covered up what was unfinished, to resume the following day, when they finished. They did a pretty good job of cleanup, which was made muchmore difficult by the amount of leaves that had fallen around the house - it would have been very hard to find the small fragments of shingles and nails all those leaves. I later was able to blow both the small scraps along with the leaves out of the plant beds and into the woods. I did find a few nails, but again it was nearly impossible to find them until the leaves were blown away. The work crew was polite and professional. I felt the price was a little higher than expected, but we did use high-grade stain-resistant shingles, and overall I felt the value received was good. The new roof has yet to experience rain, but it looks tight and solid and I do not anticipate any leaks. The shingles look good and are noticeably higher quality than the ones we replaced. Mr. Hargrove pointed out to me several places where they had applied extra sealant to ensure that vent joints and other potential sources of leaks were well-sealed and should not cause problems.
"It went fantastic ...We picked out all colors,he did provide some guidance with trim color as well as the color for the wood flooring on the front porch and screened in porch...He was here when he said he would be and completed it per the time line he provided me with at our initial consultation."
"Kent and his crew did a good job for us. Kent is very knowledgeable and makes sure the work that is done is of excellent quality. They replaced interior and exterior doors, all windows, wood siding and installed PVC trim. They also installed LVP throughout the home, painted almost the entire interior and exterior of the house. They also did complete bathroom remodeling, including building a new tiled stand-up shower with a built-in niche and bench. In addition, Kent's team installed an entirely new kitchen including appliances. They also did pressure washing of the deck and replaced some fence boards around the pool. All of the work they did was good quality, I would recommend Kent and his crew for any projects that you would like to have done."
Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.
You can use latex or acrylic paint outdoors. Although acrylic paint tends to last longer outside, it also costs more, so if you’re painting the outside of your house, for instance, latex paint is often a go-to option. However, acrylic will be your best choice if you want to spend some extra money for added durability.
Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.
It’s best to prime composite decking before painting. This promotes better paint adhesion, helps create a smooth finish, and can mean the paint job will last longer. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application, allow ample primer drying time before painting (typically 24 to 48 hours), and thoroughly clean the deck boards to promote the best adhesion.
Choosing the right product involves understanding deck material, desired finish, and local weather conditions. Opt for high-quality, weatherproof formulations ensuring long-term durability and appearance retention.
