"Jeff performed remedial work on mildly water stained ceilings and then painted them to look better than new! The care he took protecting my furniture and carpeting was remarkable! He even took down my drapes to make sure that they didn't get splatter on them. I appreciate that! Also, he filled some nail pops and advised me on other projects that I can consider later when my property goes on the market. Very helpful! Texting for scheduling and getting an estimate was easy. I paid by check and he deposited it without too much delay unlike my last handyman. I would definitely recommend him!!"

"Glenn is an extremely professional, friendly, and reasonable man and Coast to Coast is the only company I will use in the future for any interior/exterior painting.  His quote to paint the entire 2400sqft 2-story house and a large deck (approx 8x35) was $4650 which I found to be quite reasonable.  I had received 2 quotes about 18 months prior that were $1000-$1500 higher.  Glenn requested that I find a professional carpenter to fix the rotten spots (which he assessed while pressure washing) prior to beginning painting.  After having 3 different carpenters come out, none were willing to do it due to the danger and inaccessibility of the spots.  Glenn then fixed those spots for $1000 which again I thought was quite reasonable based on their location.  His crew hand-painted 2 coats on our hardy-plank home and 2 coats of stain on our cedar trim.  They did an OUTSTANDING job caulking everything which the house was in dire need of after not having been painted in 16 years.  The house looks great and the attention to detail was very impressive, I haven't seen any imperfections yet.  Glenn exceeded my expectations.

"I would highly recommend this business.  We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house.  They scheduled the work right away.  After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit.  Mike offered to repaint those for free.  During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood.  They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free.
Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done.  Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with.  I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future.

"Johnnie communicated promptly with me, made an offer that I accepted, and brought his crew to do the job as soon as weather permitted. He supervised the work and made sure I was satisfied. The quality of the exterior house, fence, and storage shed painting was very good and I would hire his company again."

"JMG Sales tore off our old deck and built a beautiful new one that exceeded our expectations. This team is talented. Jesus is responsive to any questions or concerns. We are hiring them again for a small siding repair."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Wood stain is typically dry to the touch within 6 to 12 hours, but it is not fully cured at this point. You should wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat or a protective finish. For surfaces like decks, avoid walking on them for at least 24 to 48 hours, and wait even longer before placing furniture. The full curing process can take from 24 hours to one week, depending on the type of stain. Factors like high humidity and cold temperatures can extend drying and curing times, so it's wise to allow for extra time in these conditions.

Yes, pressure-treated wood can occasionally turn green due to certain preservatives, such as copper-based chemicals, used during the treatment process. These chemicals react with the wood, creating a greenish tint. The good news? It's temporary, and the color will fade over time. Staining or painting can also help hide any unwanted hues.

Essential tools include brushes or rollers, drop cloths, sandpaper or power sanders, and appropriate cleaning supplies. Quality materials ensure long-lasting results.

DIY staining or painting is manageable with proper preparation, including safety measures, necessary tools, and adherence to safe weather conditions for application.

Yes, beginners can use a paint sprayer, but there is a learning curve. It's important to go slowly, read the instructions thoroughly, and spend some time learning the technique. Watching tutorial videos for your specific paint sprayer model can be very helpful. Before starting your main project, practice on a scrap surface to get used to the sprayer and avoid common issues like overspraying, which can cause drips, bubbles, and other imperfections. For safety, always wear a mask and gloves, and be careful not to touch the sprayer's tip when it's in use, particularly with high-powered airless sprayers.
