We called them and asked them to build a custom deck.  He came out and started our deck immediately and added benches and different levels.  He took our design and added to it and made our dream deck better that we could have imagined.

The price was better than we thought it would be.

It was a great experience and we highly recommend them if your looking for a great design and great prices.

"Care and Repair was excellent to work with from estimate to completion. They were not the least expensive bid that we received but we felt confident after meeting with them that we would receive the best quality service and we were not disappointed! They were punctual, completed the job in a timely manner and informed us when they found additional problems during the repair BEFORE completing the project so that we were aware of additional costs.

"Marvelous! Steve was on top of everything. Very punctual and completed on schedule. Steve and Dan had great ideas on how to design and decorate. "Very efficiently knew what he was doing. They'll be in on a rainy day. It was terrible to do a garage door opener but we completed it and we got it hooked up. Got started. I've actually called him since asking questions and he's been gracious enough to answer my questions, and offer to come by and take a look at if I had a problem. So he's a very nice kid. I'll say I'm 79 years old so he's a kid."

Both composite and PVC decking are excellent alternatives to wood. However, while composite is moderately priced and lasts around 30 years, PVC costs more and lasts longer. PVC is also more durable, though both materials are more durable than wood decking. Ultimately, the choice between composite and PVC decking will come down to your budget and preferences.

Deck skirting shouldn’t touch the ground, especially if you have a wood deck, which is vulnerable to moisture. Ideally, you should leave at least 3/4 of an inch of space between the deck skirting and the ground for more ventilation. Pros also recommend that you incorporate about 1 square foot of space for ventilation for the underside of the deck to every 150 square feet of decking. Proper ventilation prevents mold growth and rot that can damage your deck.

To prepare a deck for a hot tub, start by thinking about safe and easy access in and out of the tub. Homeowners should plan for steps or consider built-in seating, a level surface around the perimeter, and a clear, slip-resistant path from the house. A hot tub requires sufficient space around it for comfortable entry and exit, ensuring no awkward squeezing or stepping over high edges. Good lighting and handrails can also make a big difference, especially for nighttime use.

You can nail or screw composite decking, but 3-inch decking screws are the better fastener choice. Unlike nails, decking screws won’t back out of the composite material over time. There’s also little danger of splitting composite material when driving screws, so you don’t need to pre-drill holes unless otherwise recommended by your decking manufacturer.

The best way to clean your decking is to clear debris from the gaps between the boards, sweep the surface, rinse it, apply cleaner, rinse again, and let it dry fully. You can sprinkle baking soda on any spots with mold or mildew, then scrub the area and rinse clean.
