"We needed this repair asap due to rain deterioration. Clean Hands arranged to come on a Saturday morning. The team did a rebuild in less than 4 hours. Terrific job!! They also followed up to set a date for stain once the wood has cured. I have used Clean Hands several times over the past 5 years and will continue to do so."

"John did a great job at our house.  He was on time every day.  He rebuilt our two decks that were in decay.  His work is excellent with a finished appearance.  We are pleased and will use John on any needs we have in the future.  He also painted the finished decks. "

"It was a wonderful experience, start to finish.  He was careful of our plants, and went above and beyond the minimum of cleaning out the gutters.  When he was done, he cleaned stray leaves up even as far as the sidewalk in front of our house, then gave me a report on the state of our gutters and the roof.

They are definitely my go-to gutter place now.

"I am ecstatic over the work performed.  I had purchased my house just over 6 years ago and this is the first time I have made any major changes / repairs.  I had the living room carpet replaced with hardwood flooring as well as the wall painted a  new color.  Mr. Nagle offered suggestions that I happily accepted such as creating a hearth in front of the gas log firebox and that has taken the whole room up a notch.  He also painted the entryway in the front extending up the stairs as well as the trim, baseboards and crown moldings.  There was a hole in the downstairs bathroom ceiling caused by the directly above upstairs bathroom having a toilet seal leak and he repaired that as well as replacing all three bathroom toilets.
Outside I have columns on the front porch where over the years wind had begun stripping away the paint.  All of these were repainted and now I really enjoy driving up to my house instead of cringing at how it had looked with bare strips where the paint had peeled.
I plan on engaging Mr. Nagle to enclose my back deck and finish my basement as I am more than pleased by his services, expertise and professionalism.

"I would highly recommend this business.  We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house.  They scheduled the work right away.  After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit.  Mike offered to repaint those for free.  During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood.  They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free.
Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done.  Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with.  I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future.

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.
