We had to battle the elements with a major rainstorm that came through, but they were very adaptable and adjusted to ensure the job was completed properly. "Tarheel encapsulated our crawlspace. They cleaned out the bulk of the debris and sprayed fungicide. They also managed to knock over a post jack. The second day they put a sump pump and replaced the old insulation They installed reinforced plastic sheeting, including over the base of the fallen post jack. The insulation began falling within a few hours of the crew leaving. They did send a second crew to fix this. Our older furnace depends on the under-house vents to breathe. These were all sealed up. The furnace pulled combustion air out of the house until I cut the vents open. In digging the sump well (at one of the highest points of the crawlspace) they cracked the sewer line, which let gravel fall in. Whenever the drains back up enough, the sump pump sends raw sewage out to the front yard. I am currently waiting for an estimate from the plumber to replace the broken sewer pipe and move the sump pump. I have called to discuss this and hope to eventually get a return call."

I had called several companies/persons but none either responded back or showed up for their appointment. So, I was a pleasantly surprised when Kevan responded to my voicemail and showed up for the scheduled appointment. Water was leaking into my back room from underneath the deck and creating issues. Kevan came out and assessed the problem and devised a solution. Kevan & Drew showed up as assured. The process was explained every step of the way, so I had a very clear understanding of what was being done and why. Both Kevan & Drew were professional, and their work is quality work. I would definitely work with Drain Designs again and would have no issues recommending them to others. You won't be disappointed!"

"Wow! What a great job! Three other companies said they were unable to even out our driveway where tree roots had caused several tripping hazards, but Roger at Concrete Raising apparently can perform miracles. The final product was a driveway that is no longer dangerous and looks great. He and his assistant were prompt and neat, leaving our property tidied up when they left at the end of the day since the job had to be performed over two days. I would highly recommend Concrete Raising of NC."

"The installation went very well. Kevin and I reviewed the work that I wanted done from the estimate that he had given me previously. After review we made some modifications to the plan and then the real work got started. The Vortex team went about their work in a very professional manner. They removed the old and very clogged up existing drain line, being careful to avoid an electrical wiring conduit and my water supply line. A 12" pvc drainage basin was installed along with enough 4" pvc pipe to reach into the natural area beyond the nearest edge of my yard. Some of the dug out rock was used to provide protection to the exposed end of the pipe. Two of the gutter downspouts from my porch were tied into the system to help move that water away from the house as well. After the trench was filled in, grass seed and hay were spread in the trenched areas. Finally, the drain was tested with a water hose to verify that water would indeed drain out. To install the new basin and drain pipe, they had to disturb a small flower bed. I did not expect them to fix this, but they did, including reshaping the border bricks to fit around the new larger drain basin. As far as I'm concerned, this was going above and beyond in the customer service department. I very much appreciated this added touch!"

"Our yard improvement was a total disappointment. The VP of the company came out to review the job in person. We were looking to add sprinklers to our backyard and aerate and seed our lawn. The review of the job was well presented with a good plan. The job was scheduled to be complete in 1 1/2 days. All seemed good. When the installation crew arrived, they had a completely different plan. They pretty much did whatever was easiest for them. In doing so, they damaged so many areas of the existing system that it was no longer operational. They damaged our septic system and tried to cover it up. The septic area was not marked but the original plan stayed away from that system. All work was done in sloppy manner. Clean up almost non-existent. The seeding was terrible. I have great big bare spots. When they completed the job 30 days later. I asked them to test the system and of course it didn’t even work. They had to rerun wire they had cut. This job was a disaster. Management didn’t care."

"Be careful dealing with Triangle Reconstruction. Rob, the owner comes off as humble, honest and sincere, but if something goes wrong watch out ! I hired Triangle Reconstruction back in the winter to repair the foundation at my house. This was a very large project of which I had paid him about a third. On January 11 they caused a fire at my house burning down my kitchen. Rob was very apologetic at first, but when I told him I wanted another company to finish the project he said I owed him a lot of money for the work they did and he claimed that they had completed %80 of the job. Fortunately, I had a reputable structural engineer come out to inspect my foundation before they started working on my house and then I had him come back after the fire. The engineer stated only 1/3 of the work had been completed - if that much ! Rob also threatened to file a stop work order if I did not let him bring ‘his engineer’ out to look at it. I understand accidents happen and against the advice of many people I was actually willing to give him the opportunity to finish the job and try to help rectify the situation. However Rob’s estimate to finish was nowhere close to being equitable and provided no consideration for the hardship he has caused in my life. His estimate even included money owed for work they did in the kitchen which was burnt in the fire that they caused ! He clearly doesn’t understand the gravity of this and what my family and I have gone through and what we’re still going through. We have been out of our house for almost 5 months now and probably won’t be able to move back in for another month or two. My family has suffered tremendously due to this company’s negligence."

"I cancelled a job I put a deposit of $10,826.95 down for because the sale of my home fell through. I cancelled on June 13th and I still haven't received my refund as of 8/19. We have reached out on 3 separate occasions. My wife and I have been told different stories by different people as to what happened, but not much of it is adding up. After holding our deposit for over two months the manager said-- "We cannot do anything more to compensate you." Apparently, it is being overnighted this evening. Sadly, my advice is to proceed with caution. I give 2-stars because they apparently still have the money to refund me, it could have been worse I suppose."
