"Scott from Coastline Tree Service quoted the job and started immediately. This particular tree stump was in a tricky spot and was massive. 3 other companies decided not to even submit a bid but Coastline gave us a fair quote and got the job done right away. I was so impressed with the quality of work and the speed. Hire them if you get the chance!"

He arrived on time and went straight to work, taking down a large tree hanging over our shed. Kenny works quick, is very knowledgeable and enjoys what he does! "They went above and beyond. We are very pleased with their work. They are an awesome crew. Our yard was out of control with so much debris and trash due to illness and they were so kind and professional in taking care of this. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will be calling them again for future services especially since they do so much in such a wide range of things. If you have anyone who needs anything from furniture moved out of a house to clearing a yard, trash, cleanup , and many other services please check their website. Honestly we will miss them they were that courteous. They worked nonstop."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

An unsafe tree can cause serious damage to your home and property, so tree inspections are important to ensure your home isn’t in danger from a nearby tree. Unhealthy trees can also be unsafe trees, as diseases and insect damage can compromise a tree’s stability, leading to potential damage and safety risks.

Your local government is usually in charge of pruning trees on public property, and the power company is responsible for trees near power lines (even if they’re on your property). Whether or not they top these trees depends on their approach to pruning. You won’t be able to do much to control this, but you can contact them to find out more about their pruning process.

Large, established tree branches won’t grow roots, but if you find a young tree branch that’s less than about a year old, you’ve got a shot. Put it in water or soil as soon as possible for best results. You’ll know the branch is viable if it’s about the thickness of a pencil and has some leaves or needles.

Trees provide many benefits, including shade, habitat for local wildlife, and cleaner air, so it’s always a good idea to try an alternative strategy like crown reduction before you chop one down. But sometimes, cutting down a tree is the only option (like if it’s severely diseased). A licensed arborist can assess the tree and recommend the best course of action.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.
