"There were multiple factors an extensive checklist that I created when deciding to add such an important feature to my homes property. To name a few, Trust, dependability, price, and quality of work. By word-of-mouth and outstanding reviews hands down guided me to Whitaker Water Scapes. I could not be more pleased with the decision I made. This feature not only added value to my home but the relaxing feeling I have sitting on my porch is priceless. If your looking for a company that is family owner and the best, look no further. You found it. Thank you!"

"A&B Lawn and Tree removed about half of a fallen tree from the top of my storage house as well as many broken limbs and branches from my property. The owner was professional and arrived on time. The property was left very clean. The owner is very knowledgeable and took great pride in his work. I will definitely call this business for future projects."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Yes, but it works best with lightweight snowblowers, the single-stage models or electric versions. Also, you need to have a rubberized intake edge on the ground and preferably rubberized auger paddles, not a metal version. Otherwise you may chip or damage the surface as you work. When it doubt, let the snow lie.

You can also use a snow blower on leveled gravel, but only if you carefully adjust the intake height so it doesn’t kick up the gravel and turn it into flying missiles.

If you do end up with frozen gutters, it's important to thaw them correctly. Thawing your gutters slowly is far safer than trying to break apart the ice. Once you get through the ice, bring in a gutter professional to check out the effectiveness of your heated system.

The cost to purchase a snow blower ranges from $100 to $2,300 on average, depending on the make, model, type, and age of the machine. More advanced two-stage and three-stage models, which are often self-propelled and include features like power steering and heated hand grips, can cost between $950 and $1,500 or more. If you only need a snow blower temporarily, you can rent one for an average of $75 per day from a local hardware store or rental facility.

While it’s less common than on other kinds of roofs, yes, ice dams can form on metal roofs. Metal roofs, particularly those with snow guards installed, can still accumulate ice at the roof edge, although ice dams on metal roofs are less likely to cause roof or interior damage than on traditional asphalt shingle roofs.

In most municipalities, snow removal is compulsory in public spaces, including the sidewalk in front of your house, so you need to remove snow there. You could face fines for failure to clear your sidewalk in a timely manner—usually within 24 hours of the snowfall stopping. More importantly, your sidewalk needs to be safe for pedestrians to use, and you could face legal issues if someone slips on your sidewalk because you failed to clear it. Sidewalk removal services might seem expensive, but they’re well worth it to avoid these issues.
