"Jose did an amazing job. We had a bleach stain in a highly visible area. An 18" x 18" area in the middle of the walking area was replaced and no seams are visible, it looks like the carpet was never damaged. He is very knowledgeable on all carpet needs. Wish I knew him before I bought my carpet and installation from a big building supply company 3 yrs ago. For a small job like we had, be respectful of his time and have the estimate and work done in the same trip."

"We had had a new kitchen put in and then a year later, we had had our kitchen floor redone and basement repaired after a flood in our house.  Water from our washer had flooded the kitchen and laundry room and then flowed through the floor into the basement theater room and rec room.  We had to have a new (porcelain) tile floor put in upstairs and new paint and carpeting throughout the basement.   The work for the new kitchen and then the flood required a huge amount of sanding, spackling and more sanding...etc. The dust in our house was a big problem afterwards from the spackle dust that accumulated  in our ducts.  We decided to have our ducts cleaned and found All States on Angie's list.   It went great!  They were on time, conversant about the state of our ducts.  They did the job.  I have noticed that the air is better in the house and we have much less dust on furniture!  Very happy with their services and I would definitely hire them again.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. In most cases, you do not need to put padding or underlayment under carpet tiles. Unlike traditional carpet, which requires a separate pad, carpet tiles are designed to be installed directly onto a firm subfloor like plywood, concrete, or tile. Many carpet tiles come with a built-in underlay and attach with peel-and-stick adhesive, double-sided carpet tape, or glue. For a more comfortable, cushioned feel, especially in residential settings, you can opt for padded carpet tiles that have a thicker underlay attached. While it's generally not recommended to install a separate pad, a compact underlayment might be used in some situations, though this typically requires professional installation. An acoustic underlay may also be considered in commercial spaces or multi-level homes where noise reduction is a priority.

In order to avoid long-lasting waves, indents, or sticking, it’s a good idea to wait at least 24 hours after fresh carpet is laid to put weighty furniture on top of it. However, you can begin walking on your new carpet right after it’s installed, and doing so can actually help it adhere to the floor better.

If you have a dark carpet and are going for a lighter look, you should replace it, rather than dyeing, since you can only go darker with dye. If your stains are too heavy to mask with carpet dye or the carpet is more than 10 years old, you should also consider replacing it.

There could be several reasons why your carpet padding has adhered to the floor. Some of the most common reasons include:

  • There was intentional gluing or stapling to the surface.

  • The polyurethane and floor bonded over years of wear.

  • Pet urine, spills, or other substances leaked through the carpet and created a sticky surface.
