"Wanted to say thank you for the professionalism of Juan and Victor who did a fantastic job on our pool!!! The concrete had settled and left a hazardous lip people could fall over. They were on time, called to confirm before coming, took time to discuss the process before we started and answered all my questions. The work performed is perfect. You would never know the concrete had settled. Then they cleaned up everything and left my property pristine. Thank Juan and Victor for me!!! Cathy Rubens in Kenly"
"I had an old raggedy 2500 square foot house I needed tore down and the ground completely leveled and MGT Enterprise were life savers. When I called and asked for a quote they were there with bells on to give me my free estimate. I called several other excavation companies to get other quotes and opinions. MGT Enterprise was definitely not the cheapest estimate I received but it was well worth the price. The owner, Shaun, informed me the quote was a ball park estimate but the price for whatever reason would not go up. He then called several places for all the materials to be hauled to and from for the best prices and shortest distance to save me as much money as possible. My final price was almost $3000 less than the price I was quoted. WOW! When choosing who to hire I looked for quality not quantity and they were the best. Everyone had great personalities and attitudes, very punctual and just all around a great team. Their honesty and integrity was very important to me. I will most definitely be calling them again."
"Thank you to Rayford and his team for the great work done to encapsulate our crawl space. Work was exceptional and very happy with the results compared to what the pest companies do. During the work my HVAC return duct was accidentally ripped (like due to age and the poor shape of the crawl space). Things like this happen, but the whole team at Southeast took ownership and fixed the issue. That's what good customer service is all about!"
"The job was done in a very professional manner paying attention to detail and quality of the supplies provided and used for the fencing. The job was done efficiently and exactly to the specifications that I required. He made sure that I was satisfied with the job at different stages of the construction. I had one or two specific things that I wanted done and he made sure that they were installed properly as they were being done. He worked very neatly and cleaned up all of the property of any cut or waste materials. His men were very proficient at performing their individual tasks paying attention once more to quality and to my satisfaction. "
"We received 3 estimates on our scope of work. We chose We Do Concrete Cheap not only for the cost but because of Eric Parker, the owner. He's a no nonsense, tell it like it is, type of person who isn't out to scam you or make a fortune. He wants to do a good job and make you happy by not over charging you but by making a living as well. We had 28 yards of conrete poured in our back yard. For those that don't know, that's 3 1/2 cement truck loads. The crew got there, unloaded the equipment, unloaded the fill dirt, put up the forms, and had the pour ready within 1 day. They came the next day and worked all day into the evening to pour the 3 1/2 truck loads of cement. Eric has a lead man who oversees the job and he was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Our 11 year old son was allowed to work with the crew and boy what a crew! There were at least 5 to 7 people working in our yard at one time, getting the concrete poured, leveled, and brushed. After the concrete cured, the crew removed the forms and hauled off the debris. Eric came and took pictures and made sure we were happy with their work. This was the best money that we have spent on our home this year and the We Do Concrete Cheap crew was excellent to work with. Eric is also working with our insurance company on trying to settle a lightning strike that occured on 7/2/13 that put nine 2-3' holes throughout our extensive front driveway. Eric has emailed the insurance company, called the insurance company, and is going to meet with the structural engineer in regards to our claim. Talk about going above and beyond. All of this because he wants the job and knows that the only way we can re-pour our front driveway is if the insurance company pays for the lightning damage. Regardless of whether we can settle amicably with the insurance company or not, Eric and his team from We Do Concrete Cheap will be back at our home in the next 2 months to pour, stamp, and stain our front walkway. We cannot wait for the final results as they do fabulous work! "
Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts
A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.
The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.
It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.
Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.
