"I appreciate that they give you a range of when they will arrive and are willing to give you a call 1/2 before arrival. The technician (speciality is air and heating - but also plumbsð ) was friendly, and neatly dressed. He did not leave a mess and was out within an hour. I fell their fee was reasonable. If sink is still free flowing in 30 days will rate them 5 stars for overall job."

"Chris Barefoot gave me a prompt and professional estimate. Michael and crew placed four jacks and did some shimming work. They also installed a dehumidifier under my house. They had to return on two occasions to get the vents properly blocked and the dehumidifier working properly. But they kept at it until it was right. Hats off!"

"Mr Jernigan came out a surveyed my electrical setup. He came up with a design that saved me several thousand dollars compared to my other bidder. After a couple of rain delays, he came out and professionally installed the system. He had coordinated the install with the gas company and everything was installed and tested by 2:30 PM. All this was accomplished in 95 plus degree weather. Without Home Advisor I never would have connected with Jernigan Electrical."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

How long it takes to build an in-law suite will vary by type. The time it takes to build an addition will typically be less than for completely new construction. Expect to spend about two months if you convert a basement, attic, or other existing room in your home. New structures can take up to five months, plus up to two months to receive the required permits.

Dark academia is more of an interior decorating style than it is a type of architecture, but it calls on themes prevalent in gothic architecture. Part of the appeal of dark academia is that you can achieve the look and feel without renovating or remodeling your home. Instead, you can switch to a dark color palette and introduce metal, natural wood furniture, plaid decor, old books, and gothic decor to get the look and feel just right.

It usually takes around four to six months to build and install a modular home, although your timeline could go up to around eight months if there are delays in the manufacturing or permitting process. Heavy site preparation and foundation pouring can extend that timeline if you need them, as can customizations you want for your modular home. Your modular home company should be able to provide an estimate for the construction timeline before you sign any contracts or agree to any work.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

Make sure you’re getting the right size to meet your space needs, including enough space both side to side and vertically to accommodate your RV’s features and allow you to safely move it in and out of the garage.

If you’re building an attached and enclosed garage for your RV, you’ll also want to give some thought to whether you’d like to add workspace, water or electricity, or additional storage. If so, you’ll need a garage with larger dimensions.
