"Scheduling was great, an appointment was made immediately and the contractor arrived on the day scheduled. After that problems started. The contractor mowed my lawn while raining and I had piles of wet grass left on my lawn. When the grass dried I had a big mess. The dead grass also killed areas of my lawn. I contacted customer service, forward photos and they rectified that problem by sending someone out to recut my lawn. I was willing to give them another chance. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. The day I was due to have lawn mowed I received an email that it had been reschedule for the next day. The next day no one showed nor did I receive a call nor email at which point I terminated services. This is not a reliable business."

"After receiving quotes from other contractors. We requested a quote from TDK Landscapers to demolish and construct an L shaped handicap ramp 25 ft with a 5x5 ft landing and additional 8 ft ramp to the driveway. Tyler the owner contacted me the same day and arranged to meet the next day for a quote. He assessed the project, provided an amount and was able to scheduled us for the next week. With a great first impression we agreed. Day 1, Demo and removal, day 2, framing and supports, Day 3 deck boards applied (with SCREWS not nails). The project was finished with complete satisfaction . Very nice hard working and enthusiastic young man. We will request him for our future projects and refer him to others. Randy & Kathy homeowners."

Lawn Care FAQs, answered by experts

To prepare your lawn for core aeration, water it the day before you aerate. (Alternatively, you can wait until it rains and aerate the following day.) Aerating after watering or a rainy day will make the process easier since you can penetrate moist soil better than dry soil. You should also flag your sprinklers so that you don’t accidentally hit them while aerating. If you have a lot of thatch buildup in your yard, you might need to dethatch your lawn before aerating as well.

Each season’s climate influences approaches needed for effective suppression.

Wait at least three weeks after overseeding ryegrass before breaking out the lawn mower. Mowing sooner will tear up much of the delicate, newly seeded ryegrass as it won't have established strong roots to anchor it yet.

It is not recommended to mow wet grass, including grass with morning dew. Mowing when wet can damage your lawn, your mower, and potentially cause injury. Wet grass blades are more likely to be torn rather than cut cleanly, which can lead to brown tips and increase the risk of fungal diseases. Additionally, wet clippings can clump together, smothering the grass underneath, and can clog your mower. For best results, wait until the grass is dry to the touch, which is often about two hours after morning dew has evaporated. Regular lawn mower maintenance is also important for a clean cut.

Professionals bring industry knowledge, can spot potential problems early, and tailor maintenance like fertilizing and weeding to your lawn's specific needs.
