Community Involvement A big part of The Backyard Depot is getting involved in the community and helping those in need. We feel this speaks to the character of our company, employees and vendors we do business with. When ABC’s Extreme Makeover came to Raleigh, we were selected to install a fence for the Riggins family. We have worked to develop an honest, reputable company and feel that we were rewarded by being chosen to participate in the project. In July 2011 we were again asked to provide the fence and installation for another Extreme Makeover build in Fayetteville, NC. Recently, we were asked to set up a fence for a scene for the movie Lao Warrior. The movie details some of the life struggles of Kenji from being bullied and the fear of death as a child during the Vietnam War to the horrific dealing of human trafficking. It’s due out in 2014 and we’re thrilled to have played a small part in it. In addition to Extreme Makeover and Lao Warrior, we also donated fences and installation to other local projects including Building Together Ministries in Raleigh, Duke Children’s Miracle Home in Durham, and to a family in Raleigh in February 2008 who rebuilt their home after a house fire that took the fathers’ life. Honest, Reputable & Reliable At The Backyard Depot, we’re proud of our business. We’re happy with how fortunate we’ve been over the years and what we’ve become. We’re honest, reputable and reliable. We’re NOT perfect but we do whatever we can to satisfy our customers. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you give us the chance to make you one of our many happy customers.

For many people, a gazebo is worth it, but it’s a matter of personal preference. If you love spending time outside but your yard doesn’t offer much protection from the sun or rain, then adding a gazebo might be worthwhile. Or, if you enjoy hosting dinner parties and want a nice outdoor space to gather with your friends, a gazebo could be a good investment.
Professionals ensure safe, thorough repairs using quality materials, extending the life of your structure.
Common materials include wood, vinyl, and metal. Wood offers a classic look, while vinyl and metal are low-maintenance options.
Clean regularly, seal wood surfaces, and inspect for damage or rust to ensure longevity and safety.
Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:
Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.
Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.
Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.
Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.
