we are a small general sevices company, i personally have been in this field 23 yrs, our company mainly consist of 4 people, reason for that being is that i only work people i can trust to do the job the way it should be done. which is the right way or no way at all, and they are all people i have known for all or over half of my life. i also have subs that i use as well and once again they are only people i trust. i wouldn't chance bring someone i don't know or trust into someones home. my business is made up of myself, my brother, and 2 of my friends. we all have clean crimial records and are drug and alcohol free. we do not as for monies for material and labor up front for that is not good business. we figure materials for job and place orders and let you the homeowner pay for them, that way you know what the cost is and you feel safe that no one is making the usual 15% as alot of the people in our industry does. i want the work i do for you to be done right and as cost affective as possible for you the homeowner. for that is the standup and honest way of doing business. my work truck and tools are paid for and that saves you money because i don't have to charge a large hourly rate to pay for those things. i have lisenced contractor that work with me as well if needed. i do everything in my power to save my customers $$$$. and still do the job the way it should be done. thank you for your time, sinserly Robert Grigg DBA ( Carpenters for Hire) . if you would like to see some photos of work check out robert grigg or carpenters for hire on facebook

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

Concrete is typically the best material for a driveway if you’re looking for longevity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. But, it’s not ideal for areas with annual freeze-frost cycles, nor is it the most attractive option—although you can get it stamped or painted. If your location is consistently below freezing, asphalt may be a better choice.

The number of concrete bags you'll need depends on the width and length of your fence post hole. A 50-pound bag makes about 0.375 cubic feet of concrete. So, if your hole is 30 inches deep and 12 inches wide, you'll probably need around five 50-pound bags for each post.

Whether metal fence posts need concrete depends on the environment and the ground they're placed on. For thick earth and areas without significant weather or high wind, you can get by without concrete, but in areas with weak dirt and strong seasonal weather, it's a good idea to install a concrete base on each individual post. This increases the cost but not as much as replacing or reinstalling the fence would.

While stamped concrete can last up to 50 years on average, a driveway will likely need repairs or resurfacing within 25 years. Comparatively, the life span of a stamped concrete driveway is much longer than those built with pavers or asphalt, which will often crack or break down under the weight of your vehicle much sooner.

The average cost of concrete by cubic yard is about $130 , falling in a range of $110 to $150 . If you’re looking to pour concrete over a smaller area, you may be able to pay per cubic foot of concrete, which would make the overall cost less expensive. It’s also possible to pay for a truckload of concrete, if your project calls for it.
