"Initial consultation and estimate was great. I had windows installed at a good price, no surprises. Service was okay, I would like to have had work completed a little faster. Quality was less than what I expected. One window protruded into the house and displaced the molding around it and it wasn't caulked. These issues were addressed in a timely fashion, but I am finding a few small things here and there that were missed. I have a couple of screens that won't stay up and some others with gaps, and it's only been 1 week. Hugh and the crew were very nice. My windows look great, but I am kinda wishing I would've chosen another route."

"I hired Dentons handyman services for multiple projects, he built me a huge deck coming out of my bedroom on the 2nd story it turned out amazing! He also did 3 complete bathroom remodels bc I have a lot of rental properties and the bathrooms he did a great job!! I would recommend on a bathroom remodel let him do material list and let him go to Loweâ s and get it because he donâ t forget hardly nothing and thereâ s a lot of material is a complete bathroom remodel, He may be young but I wouldnâ t hire anyone else and Iâ ve been doing stuff like this for 25 years! Very good personality and people skills! Very trust worthy with money and completion of projects! Give the guy a chance you will be satisfied! He has great ideas so if your not sure what to do ask Denton Iâ m sure he will know or figure it out for you"

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.

A good U-factor for windows is 0.30 or lower, but they can range from 0.20 to 1.20. A general rule of thumb when it comes to the U-factor is that the lower, the better.

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Most professionals can enlarge a window in five to 10 hours, depending on the window location, the exterior wall material, how easy it is to cut through it, and how much buildback you’ll need after the installation is complete. However, more complex projects can take two to three days from start to finish.
