"Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. In the end we received a very good paint job on a timely basis and at a competitive price. I have already recommended Mike's Painting to others in my neighborhood and would use him again for future painting needs.

"Santiago painting is hands down the best company we worked with in a long time. Would have given more stars if I could have. There price was super competitive and the communication was on point. We WILL be using them in the future. Keep up the good work."

"Tony was personable and thorough when he came to bid our job. He and his crew arrived when he said they would and worked neatly and efficiently until the job was done. He and his crew worked long hours and did not ask for a cent until we were completely satisfied with the work they had done. They completed the work at slightly LESS than the original bid. The house looks terrific and we would whole-heartedly recommend them to a friend."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Limewash can be removed from brick, but the method of removal will depend on how long the limewash has been on the brick. If the limewash has fully dried—which happens after about five days—you’ll need to use a diluted muriatic acid mixture to remove it. If there are multiple coats of limewash, you may need to apply the acid mixture several times to fully remove it from the brick.

The average cost to remove wallpaper is $790. The final price tag depends on the size of the room and the complexity of the project, and can range from $200 to $2,000. Usually, removing peel-and-stick wallpaper is on the lower end of the cost scale, as it doesn't require special tools to remove.

Think hard before deciding to German schmear your home’s exterior brickwork. If you do not like the look, you are pretty much stuck with it, as it is impossible to remove this finish the way you can remove paint. You risk damaging the underlying brick if you have to chisel and acid-wash it away. It will also take a very long time, and remnants of the mortar wash will always remain.

Yes, most professionals patch and smooth walls after removal to prepare for new finishes.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.
