"He built and tiled a new large shower for a rental that was so deluxe we are hoping he can do something like it for our own house. In addition they fixed some irregularities, removed and reset a new toilet and installed laminate flooring. He fit us in while on another job to help us out. Not only was his work top notch he is a perfect gentleman to boot. I had many of my own tools and materials on the job and he can be fully trusted to respect that. You wonâ t go wrong hiring Dallas Construction."

"Bill and his entire crew were both friendly and extremely competent and professional. They installed porcelain wood look tile in our living space and gave us a walk-in tile shower in our master bath. Awesome work at a fair price. Book them if you can!!"

"It was all right; we didn’t really get anything worthwhile out of it.  She was pleasant to work with, it is just what she advertised versus what we got was way out.  There was nothing really robust about it.  She was polite and pleasant to talk to and what not but her work wasn’t that great. "

"I found Jeremy through a recommendation of a local flooring company. He installed a new tile kitchen for us. His work was outstanding and accommodated us in every way when we made last minute changes. Jeremy kept the bid within our budget and was awesome to work with. Would definitely recommend his company."

"Jeremy had prompt communication and was able to install the new tile earlier than planned. He did a very nice tile job and was able to accommodate items I asked for in a follow up. I wasnâ t charged more than the estimate. He also told me not to hesitate to call if there were any issues. Overall a good experience."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

How long painted tiles last ultimately comes down to the quality of the paint job and how much wear and tear the tiles get. It’s possible the paint job will only last about six months if the tiles are in a high-traffic area and they weren’t properly cleaned, sanded, and primed prior to painting and sealing. Well-painted tiles in a low-traffic area should last at least a year.

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

While tile is the best option in the bathtub, don’t forget to consider the flooring around the wash station. Moisture-holding carpet is a no-no, but is tile or vinyl better for dogs? Tile flooring is tough, moisture-resistant, cool, and scratch-proof. However, it’s more tricky to install and costs more than vinyl flooring. If you opt for vinyl, select tough luxury vinyl flooring; otherwise, canine claws could quickly damage the surface of standard, budget vinyl.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot for installation and $150 to $600 for repairs, depending on the material and complexity.
