Vinegar can keep some animals at bay, like deer, rabbits, foxes, and raccoons. Keep in mind that your household pets, like cats and dogs, also don’t like the smell of vinegar. You can soak rags in white vinegar and put them up around your garden beds to keep the pesky critters from eating your plants.

The primary attractant for moles is food. With a powerful sense of smell, they seek out grubs, earthworms, ants, and other insects in the soil. Other factors can also draw them in, such as moist, loose soil which makes tunneling easier, so an overwatered lawn can be an invitation. Additionally, male moles may enter your yard to expand their territory or find a mate, and if a neighbor has a mole problem, it's possible for them to tunnel over to your property.

Trapping is generally not recommended, as even gentle traps can become as inhumane as kill traps if a rabbit is caught and stuck for several days. Additionally, capturing one rabbit isn’t likely to prevent other rabbits from wandering your yard. If you choose this method, it's essential to use live traps designed for humane capture and release of the rabbits in a suitable, safe habitat far from your property. Be sure to set a reminder and check the trap at least twice per day.
