"I hired Daniel and Oasis Landscaping and Excavation for a fence build project. Daniel was very prompt with response to my inquiry. He shows up in time and was very professional and helpful. He provided a detailed quote and was available to discuss. Very pleased with quality of work and the crew left everything in good order. I am happy to recommend and would definitely hire him again."

"Their work was excellent. I liked the text messaging and voice contacts that kept me up to date on the process. They removed a tall (dead) Aspen right next to my house and brought in the proper equipment to make sure everything went smoothly. I thought price/performance was first rate. The only reason I didn't give them straight 5.0s is a slight delay (unavoidable on their part) that I wasn't kept up to date on. I highly recommend them."

Lawn Irrigation FAQs, answered by experts

Power seeding and aeration are both excellent ways to improve lawn health, but they serve different functions. Aeration focuses on improving soil health by creating channels that allow more water, oxygen, and carbon dioxide to reach the roots. In contrast, power seeding is a method of planting grass seeds, often by creating narrow trenches in the soil. One service isn't better than the other; they are complementary. It is beneficial to aerate your lawn before power seeding, as this makes the seeding more effective by helping the germinating seeds access the resources they need. It's a good practice to aerate your lawn once or twice a year, regardless of whether you plan to power seed.

Before you put down grass seed, you should cultivate your soil or add two inches of topsoil. You should also put down fertilizer at the same time as your seed to prompt healthy growth. Be sure to water after you put down grass seed, especially for the first two weeks.

Soaking grass seeds in water before seeding is called pre-germinating. It’s not necessary but can be very helpful in some cases. Some grasses like are very slow to germinate, and basic seeding on the ground is unlikely to be effective—that’s especially true of cool season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass, rye grasses, and Bermuda grass. Soaking these seeds in a bag or bin of water for one to four days beforehand can give the grass the start it needs to survive.

Yes, orchard grass is a perennial weed that will come back each spring. However, if you maintain a healthy, dense lawn in the spring, orchard grass will not have as much space to flourish. Remove signs of the weed early in the spring season whenever possible.

The best time of year for power seeding depends on your local climate. The soil should be warm, but the air should be cool. If the weather gets too hot after you grow new grass seed, it can die off easily. The best time for power seeding warm-season grasses is late spring to summer, and the best time for power seeding cool-season grasses is in the fall.
