"Nicole and Tylar were awesome. They came out with all their own tools and cleared away a bunch of trees that were crowding my trails. They were on-time, on-budget and friendly. Thanks."

We started as a small concrete business in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana and have since expanded into Western Colorado, many of our projects were centered around the construction industry providing foundations and flat-work in commercial and residential settings. Throughout our years in concrete construction we saw a need in the decorative side of concrete and we began to experiment with products that fit our idea of what it would take to excel in all things concrete. All concrete products are not created equal, but you can rest assured that the products we use have been time tested and meet the highest industry standards. With over twenty five years in the concrete industry, you can count on Baja Kitchens and Hardscapes to provide unparalleled products and service.

I Guy Ask own and operate a business that does not usually include employees. I am mostly hands on personally. I hire only persons who are friendly, decent, level, and like to work hard and as many hours as it takes to accomplish the days' agenda. The Sub-contractors that I hire must also be Registered, must have Workman's Comp Exempt, and insurance on them selves. I do signed contracts only with individuals'! Which also describes the payment schedule. I do not finance any projects. There is always a start up cost or percentage of contracts said price in affect which the customer will comply by upon signing the contract! I do have Gift certificates that I deliver on occasions for promoting and Great Savings!!!

Gravel Driveway Repair questions, answered by experts

Though they may look similar, tar and bitumen come from different sources. Bitumen is a petroleum product—extracted during crude oil refining—and is mostly made up of hydrocarbons. Tar comes from burning down organic materials like coal or wood. Bitumen is strictly oil-based, while tar is a mix of compounds from natural sources. Both are used as binders in paving; however, bitumen is the standard for today’s asphalt. Tar use has mostly faded out of road construction.

The main difference between asphalt and blacktop is that asphalt has a lower ratio of bitumen—a low-grade tar-like crude oil—than blacktop. While blacktop is heated to 300 degrees or more, hot-mix asphalt is heated to a lower temperature, typically between 275 and 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Consult an asphalt driveway professional about which type of material is the best fit for your future asphalt driveway.

The decision to repair or replace your driveway depends on the extent of the damage. If your driveway has a few small cracks, a simple repair will do the trick. If you see larger cracks and potholes, it may be time to consider resurfacing or replacement. Resurfacing is a great option if more than 25% of the surface is damaged, but if the damage is extensive—deep cracks or significant sinking—it’s best to replace the driveway entirely. A new driveway, with proper care, can last decades while patching or resurfacing might only hold up for a few years before needing more attention.

An asphalt overlay or top coat costs between $3 and $7 per square foot. For a standard, single-car driveway that’s 10 feet wide and 20 feet long, that’s a total of between $600 and $1,400. For a two-car driveway, you’re looking at a total of between $1,200 and $3,000.

Hot-pour sealants have an asphalt cement base that might also include rubber and other materials to allow the seal to flex in hot or cold temperatures. Asphalt emulsion sealants are not heated but are liquid applications that use water and an emulsifying agent to allow the asphalt and water to mix.
