"Highly recommend Dynamic Plumbing! I had a clogged drain that needed to be cleared quickly, and Dynamic Plumbing was absolutely amazing. Their customer service was friendly, professional, and efficient from start to finish. The plumber arrived promptly, cleared the clog fast, and explained everything clearly. The job was done right the first time, which helped me get on with my day without any stress or delays. "Chad and crew were amazing when helping us go through with our bathroom remodel! We didn’t have a very big budget to work with but he managed to work with us and was still able to get us a new bath tub, shower, toilet, and floor within our budget! They all worked hard and was able to get everything done within 10 days, even with having to fix a few unexpected problems! Also a side note, his tile guy keygan did an amazing job tiling our shower! He worked super hard and was able to get all the tiling done within one weekend! I highly recommend these guys to help get your next housing project done! 😊"

"We had a very pleasant experience with Founders contracting during our bathroom remodel. The tub shower conversion to walk in tiled shower was the main goal. We are happy with the whole remodel. The owner has great communication, is prompt and professional. He had great suggestions and accommodated a couple of extra requests. Highly recommend."

"Chad and Scott did a fantastic job, from concept to completion of our project. We needed an interior wall, framing, door, drywall, texture, & painting, & all the details to enclose our kitchen from our entry. They understood our concept, and had the work done from start to finish in 2 weeks. Meticulous, detail-oriented, polite, & fun to have them here in our home are how we would describe our relationship with Chad & Scott. They even let us keep adding other small projects along with the wall construction, always being cheerful & accommodating. We would definitely recommend them to our friends & neighbors for any projects! Susan & Larry"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

No, you can’t convert a gravity-flush toilet to a pressure-assist toilet. Pressure-assist toilets include a tank-within-the-tank, and a standard gravity-flush toilet doesn’t have a capability to include the additional tank. If you want the benefits of a pressure-assist toilet, you’ll have to make the investment in a new one.

Some of the problems with in-wall toilets include the complex installation, which might need extra framing. It is also more difficult to access the toilet tank for maintenance or troubleshooting because it’s behind the flush button panel and in the wall. Over time, you’ll spend more on maintenance because you’ll need a plumber to work on hidden plumbing.

Yes, frozen pipes can cause a toilet to stop working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which can lead to two main problems. First, the supply line to the toilet tank may be frozen, which prevents the tank from refilling with water after you flush. Second, the drain pipe itself can freeze, blocking water from flushing away. As a temporary solution for a non-refilling tank, you can manually add water, but this is not a long-term fix. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try pouring warm water into the toilet bowl or tank and then flushing, as the warm water may help thaw the ice blockage. Ultimately, the best course of action is to unfreeze the affected pipes to restore your toilet to full functionality.

Replacing a standard toilet with an elongated one is straightforward. The two types can be installed using the same existing drainpipe and plumbing. If you have a small bathroom, make sure that an elongated toilet doesn’t violate local building codes for clearance, which is the space between fixtures and walls.

The lifespan of a toilet can vary significantly. While the porcelain body itself can last up to 50 years or more with proper care, most plumbers suggest an average functional lifespan of 10 to 25 years, and many homeowners replace their toilets after about 20 years.

A toilet's longevity is influenced by factors like maintenance quality, hard water buildup, and damage to the finish. It's also important to note that internal components have much shorter lifespans than the bowl; for example, flappers may last only a few years, while fill valves can last around 10 years.

Even if an older toilet is still functional, consider upgrading to a high-efficiency model to save on water costs.
