"Eric Poole, Forefront Flooring, did an excellent job installing vinyl wood flooring in our entire basement. He was not only meticulous about how the flooring was laid and he worked quickly and accurately. We highly recommend Eric for his hard work from beginning to end. The estimate for the job was far better than any of the other estimates that we had!"

"I have absolutely no complaints.  Pete was pleasant to deal with and very responsive to emails and phone calls.  While visiting about the job, he told me they were about a month out, which was not bad because another company I talked to claimed to be a year out.  So, I gave Pete a check and the signed agreement.  A week and a half later, he called and said they could come out and do our roof.  His guys showed up when they said they would and worked through two blustery cold days.  The crew was friendly and a pleasure to talk to when asking questions.  They had the old roof off and the area cleaned really well the first day, a Thursday. The second day, a Friday, they had the shingles installed and only needed to finish the cap at the peak. They came back and finished it up on Saturday morning.  On each visit, they left the yard clean and in good shape.  I highly recommend Little Roofing and Construction if you have any roofing work you need done.

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Detailed mapping of elevation changes and natural features on the property.

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

You can’t build on undeveloped land without preparing it for construction, which involves running utilities to the site or accounting for private utilities like wells and septic systems and grading and compacting the soil for safe construction. Once you prepare the land, you can build on it as long as the project abides by local zoning regulations.

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.
