"Internet connection was weak, garbled communication. But, they remained very professional and we could crack a joke every now and then when things got annoying. Once up and running the diagnostic test was done in 5 min. Confirming my suspicions. Part number was sent within minutes."
"My certified inspector MatthewCote out of the Belgrade, MT office found i have a natural spring comming up in my crawlspace. I knew I had water streaming all over crawlspace and my husband believed it was due to watering lawn of the hill our house sits on.
Matt was great to work with, he was totally professional. He explained my situation and showed me in photos and map of my basement what this ssprincause, how it had eroded and damage caused. It has been going on for quite a few years, of which I noticed escalation of water even though I decreased watering on above lawn.
I wish I had researched this sooner. But MATT assured me it's not too late. He was clear and concise as to what I needed done to resolve and eliminate further damage by installing 2 sump pumps, installing trenches & piping to drain all areas of water, draining ouside of house past septic and leach field, add a humidifier and encapsulation of crawlspace. I highly recommend Groundworks and Matt to anyone."
"Still deciding on who to use. Very nice person who took estimates. Seem very on top of things. Thank you. EDIT: FWIW The above review was written while the person giving the estimate was standing there asking me to give her a review. She was nice, but obviously a seasoned salesperson. She did attempt to hard-sell me a few times, and even pulled the "call my manager and get another 10% off" routine mentioned by others here... but again, I wasn't having any of it. Bottom line is that their lowest possible option came to an amount in excess of the "HIGH END" average here (for my area) by nearly two grand... and that was their lowest cost option. Let me be honest here... I live in a CB Homes tract house worth $165K on a good day... I was looking for a bath to shower conversion for mom who's been living with me and having troubles getting in the shower. I can't cough up money I would expect to pay for a full remodel of the bathroom (their high end and original estimate). And unfortunately I can't cough up nearly five digits for shower with glass door ... on the low end. I need a functional shower that looks as good as the original stock CB Homes tub... the bar isn't set too high. These folks are obviously for the higher end custom home. That's fine. I just wish the person on the phone when I called to make the appointment and TOLD HER my situation at least had the information to relay that the lowest my job was going to cost with glass door would be what it was. But whatever. I just felt I needed to correct the record here... especially after reading some of the other reviews. To summarize: The lady who appeared for the appointment was personable... she seemed to know what she w as doing... she also was obviously a sales professional and did employ some tactics to make the sale (not entirely unexpected of course)... and perhaps, if she had the flexibility to sell a lower end "non-custom" type product, we may have bought (but not right then regardless... these folks were the first people to come out and give and estimate and I NEVER buy anything based on a single estimate.)... but their lowest cost product was easily 2x the cost I was expecting going in (albeit admittedly a thoroughly informed expectation) ... I have another estimate that will be done Wednesday. I already spoke to the owner on the phone so as to not waste his time. I relayed some of this information to him in hopes to determine if he has any possible chance of meeting or exceeding the expectations I've developed (partly based on the averages available here on this site) and if it would be a waste of time for him to come by... the appointment is still set."

"I assumed that this was an actual vs virtual consultation. When I contacted vendor, he explained that this was a virtual consultation. He also apologized and told me that there had been a fair amount of confusion among Angie's list customers on this point. Vendor was courteous and accommodating."

While a professional can always help, there are some common plumbing culprits you can check yourself to see if you can find the sewer gas smell. For example, you should check your water traps, sometimes called P-traps and S-traps, which are located under sink, shower, and laundry drains. The wax ring beneath the base of your toilet, which creates a watertight seal with the plumbing, could also have gone bad.
Since the EPA partially banned asbestos in 1989, it is no longer used to manufacture new siding in the United States; production had largely ceased by the early 1980s. Many other countries, such as Canada, Iceland, and Denmark, also have bans on asbestos. However, asbestos siding is still present in many homes built before the late 1980s. The only definitive way to know if your siding contains asbestos is to have it professionally lab-tested.
If you think you’ve touched asbestos, do not put on a mask. This is important because you may take the asbestos fibers on your hands on trap them in the mask. Make your way to a sink and wash your hands thoroughly. Remove any clothes and seal them in a bag, then take a shower. Call your doctor and let them know you’ve been exposed to asbestos, and make sure you see them as soon as possible. The reason you keep the clothes is in case anyone wants to confirm the presence of asbestos.
Typical methods for asbestos removal include encapsulation, enclosure, and complete removal.
