"These guys did a great job of removing the trees I had in my yard it was a tight space and most were big pine trees. But they got them down no problem. James was quick to come out and look at what needed to be done . Gave me a very good price and got started. It took load off my mind I was worried about one of the trees falling if we had a big storm. I will be using Panola Treeworks again. Quick, Friendly , the best price and they know what they are doing."

"NA Tree Service crew was able to remove 4 large trees that had become a hazard to my house. They arrived on time and quickly began to take down the trees. Due to the excessive heat, cooling breaks were taken- causing the crew to return the next morning to remove the remaining debris. They did a great job at an affordable cost. I highly recommend them."

"Mejia Tree Service arrived when they said they would and began to remove two trees and several large limbs. One tree was close to our garage and the other was over my shop. They removed the trees without any issues, removed the debris, and cleaned up after the job. The job was completed in just under three hours. They were also well within our budget and came in slightly lower than one other bidder and significantly lower than a second bid. I recommend this service to anyone seeking to remove trees."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.

Generally, no, tree topping isn’t a good technique, and you should avoid using it in most cases. Tree topping may be the only good option to save a tree following severe damage after a storm, but in most other cases, it’s not the right choice. Tree topping can leave trees vulnerable to disease and further damage, and most pros will suggest against it.
