We provide an array of handy services and take absolute pride in every job! While painting is our bread and butter at Willow Tree, we also pride ourselves in our handywork! We build custom patio furniture and work tables, breathe new life into old furniture, we make custom gardening bins, even 10x10 storage sheds. Drywall repair and other carpentry work is also a cakewalk; any holes from door knobs that have gone through the wall can be easily erased and made like it never happened. If it’s time for some new sealant around the windows, we can handle that for you too! Bad outlet? Relocating an outlet? Hiding wires for a beautiful wall mounted TV and home entertainment area?.. no problem! We have many other electrical services available as well so feel free to ask. Light plumbing repairs are available; unfortunately, we are unable to snake a drain pipe at this time. We also specialize in the maintenance and upkeep of Solar Energy systems. Whether it’s for a water heater or generating your own power, our expertise is fluent in this field! If you have any questions in regards to going solar or if you’re interested in learning more about how solar can work for you, feel free to ask. We are Enphase and Tesla certified. LOTO Certified. EPA Type 1 Certified. OSHA-10 General Industry and Safety Certified. AED, CPR, and First Aid Certified.

Woodworking questions, answered by experts

Yes, home builders need to be licensed in every state and municipality in the country. The specific license required varies based on the location and the work, but most states require that the builder hold a general contractor’s license at minimum. Some states and cities also require that plumbing, electrical, roofing, and sewage system construction require individual licenses, in which case the builder may subcontract the work. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to confirm that the builder you’re considering holds all the proper licenses.

Construction typically takes 1-3 weeks, depending on the project’s scope and customization.

While installing a carport will have only a slight, if any, bearing on increasing the selling price of your home, simply having a high-quality and well-maintained carport can improve the selling appeal to would-be house buyers. However, a poorly-maintained carport in disrepair can have the opposite effect and hurt the home's sales appeal.

Rather than using a common two-by-four piece of wood for a rafter, you probably will use two-by-six, two-by-eight, two-by-ten, or even two-by-twelve boards. Wider lumber is typically a better choice in a larger building as it provides more sturdiness. Some installers may use wider lumber for rafters near the edges of the roof, where the greatest stress occurs, and save money with narrower lumber toward the middle.

There are both temporary and permanent ways to enclose a carport. If you’re looking to enclose your carport for the winter, a canvas enclosure could do the trick. It won’t be as protective as a permanent structure, but it can offer some protection from elements like snow, rain, and wind. For a permanent enclosure, you can add extra walls, add a new vertical roof, or a lean-to addition on one side of the structure.
