"Brent completed the job tasks as agreed. Installed baseboards, quarter round trim, small carpentry work. He also adjusted some doors. He did an excellent job. I highly recommend him! He was professional, courteous and respectful of our home and his prices are reasonable."

"Contractor exceeded expectations. Contractor diagnosed issue and resolved, even when project became more complicated. Project started as simple door and frame replacement because of water damage, and turned into larger and longer project that required replacing studs, drywall, and repainting in addition to door frame replacement due to old termite damage because door frame would not secure to damaged studs. Overall, highly recommend Huffs for going above and beyond in repair."
After removal of sheetrock and insulation, we repaired like new!
We had to go in the Attic first and stop the HVAC from condensating.
Bad place to be getting wet!

"Dan did an absolute fantastic job. Although he did not work specifically on recliners (he's a woodworker) he still undertook the task and did fantastic. Wonderful attitude, very likable. I was sorry we could not pay him the day he came to the house (as I was waiting on a new credit card which came in the next day). I would recommend anybody who needs wood working done to consider him."

A contractor can help you decide the best method of repair for your home's foundation and also address the root cause of the trouble.

You may need a permit to install your window seat. Even though it's an indoor modification, some municipalities require permits for any built-ins added to homes. Check with your carpenter or, if you're DIY-ing, do some research on your city's requirements.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

You should avoid drilling or cutting into load-bearing beams because removing material will weaken it and increase the risk of structural damage or even collapse. If you do need to drill into a load-bearing beam, speak with a structural engineer first to discuss where it’s safest to drill and the width and depth of the bit that’s safe to use.

A few signs that you need a new door frame include:

  • The door no longer fits properly in its frame and sticks or scrapes.

  • You notice cracks, holes, or rotting.

  • You feel a draft coming from around the door when it’s closed.

  • You find yourself frequently needing to make repairs.
